Tried getting into The Wire a few years ago and just found it a bit bleak and depressing.

Maybe I'm missing something as so many people keep saying how brilliant it is.

The Wire is incredible!! It may be bleak but everything about it is in a class of its own. The dialogue, character development, and execution of themes just destroys every other TV show out there. Not everything is bleak though, there are a few positives. Mind you, I also complained about how cynical it was the first time I watched it.

Game of Thrones this week was probably the best GOT episode ever.

I'd love to see a proper 'wrap up' episode of Goodnight Sweetheart.

Because the show got pulled sooner than Marks n Gran were expecting, the last series was rushed.

And that was a shame because i dont think, from people that worked on the show they intended on leaving one of the main supporting characters down on his luck.....
