Thanks H, i just read it. ah man, he's gonna feel it more, cos he said he was behind it from day one. gonna feel let down ala Prometheus.. (which is owned by Fox)
So Trank is blaming Fox, is he?
They wouldn't invest Millions with Star names and rush out a frankenstein stitched movie, expecting us to pay?!... would they?
Hmmm. oh yes, Die Hard....
But Willis gets the blame there too. Its just an absolute sin, by a major studio to act this way.
Still i guess the Star Wars box office will make up for some of their losses in December....

If F4 tanks at the box office which seems likely now I don't think that there's any chance of a revival of it regardless of which studio does it.

Just don't understand how they messed this up so badly. All they had to do was make it not as crap as the Jessica Alba version. What a c*ck up

Maybe they should have just gone straight to an Xmen/Fantastic Four crossover movie instead of this.

Both franchises are owned by Fox right?

That would have been more exciting and even if it wasn't a very good movie would probably still have done well enough at the box office.

Hey Superb, just to say, that i invested in a PS4, but i did love my Xbox. Right now, i don't think it really matters, as the quality of games are about the same. but am amazed at the lack of really good games like back in the day...
hopefully Star Wars Battlefront and Mad Max can change that.

Going back onto Fox, the cross-over, was a plan about to be set in motion for the sequel to FF.
The problem here is, how much will it make at the B.O.and DVD sales etc.... cos the whole process would start again.
£122 Mill budget.. lets see what happens.

I think Fox are backing themselves into a corner, cos as popular as FF are to the comic book community and Marvel fanbase, they did just make money on a Racoon, a walking Tree and a Ant!!

Obviously i meant Disney/Marvel made money, so i don't think they are that concerned what games Fox are up to..

and here's a little insight... slightly embelished for comedy effect i'd imagine, but Kevin Smith has been known for telling it how it is...
Forgive me if anyones seen this before..
ok here's the set up -

It's the making of Live Free or Die Hard (Die Hard 4.0 for us Brits)
The scene is the introduction of the Warlock ('Kevin smiths' character) to John Mclane.
There is a discussion going on as Bruce is not happy with the script.
He's telling this to Director Len Wiseman and So-called Writer Skip Woods as Kevin watches....
This is what unfolds....

Stringer that's exactly why I'm holding on to my ps3 as long as possible. Eventually I'll get an Xbox One although it won't be for a while as there are still a load of great games for me to get through on ps3.

Going back to F4 so they'll need to make $122 million just to break even ? Wow, that seems highly unlikely at this stage. I'm not sure it will even get close.

Could be a Dredd scenario where the poor box office return kills any chance of sequels or even any kind of reboot or crossover in the case of F4.

Shame really as I think that an F4/X-Men crossover movie could have been very good.

Stringer I've heard Kevin Smith talk about Bruce Willis before. He sounds like an absolute in real life although same could be said for a lot of them probably.

Has anybody read "The Martian", i know everybody is raving about it - and i will be honest i know nothing what so ever about it.

However, this snippet from the movie has been intrigued: http://www.ign.com/videos/2015/08/07/the-martian-area-3-right-stuff-clip

Martian does look good... but can't help feeling there's a 'CastAway' feel to it. or Gravity...
and he's still using the leftovers from Prometheus..
Just make the sequel already Ridders...
We know your film is gonna look amazing visually, but after Prometheus, I have raised my 'Inner terror alert level to DefCon 3....'

Rumours flying in about another dud on the way....
(Groan)
Take a bow Guy Ritchie and 'The Man From Uncle'...

The Popcorn movies this summer are getting saltier and saltier, and nobody likes salty popcorn!
This is why I will always give Tom Cruise his props, cos no matter what, he always brings his all to a movie!

This is looking to be the summer of flopbusters.

Sad to hear early concerns about Man from Uncle. Had quite high hopes for that. Everything that Armie Hammer is in seems to tank. Thankfully he didn't get the Batman role.

Simon I'm really looking forward to The Martian even if after watching the trailer I feared it was a prequel of Matt Damon's character in Interstellar

Hopefully this will be the movie that Interstellar tried but largely failed to be

Am well into series 1 of Banshee and I fully recommend it, great show.

Just don't understand why it's not better known as it's a definite step up from most TV shows out there and is up there with the best of them from what I've seen so far

Who has watched the Sopranos?

Just on the second series, can't believe it didn't watch it sooner

I never watched Sopranos in it's entirety but I've seen a lot of it back when it was on telly.

Maybe I'll go back to it and watch it all in full but I've already seen so much of it already that it would be like watching something you've already seen over again.

Just watched a film on sky called enemy starting Jake Gyllenhall, and I think it genuinely goes down as the worst film I've seen in my life.

Just sharing so you can watch it for laughs

It's extremely entertaining

Probably not for you if you don't like watching violence as there are some pretty hardcore fighting scenes in some of the episodes.

He's normally good. Really good in Nightcrawler, super creepy. End of Watch is also very good.
