Congratulations to England for regaining the Ashes.

The Australian players used the Ashes as practise and match fitness. Only thing that matters to them is the IPL and the World Cup as it should be.
England players should care more for World Cup than Ashes
I mean we play the match of our lives for the Ashes and never perform in the World Cup when we should be getting to semi or a final. Ashes is a pointless series.

Typical we win the exhibition but never do anything when it matters.

I wouldn't read too much into any home series victories anymore. Even Bangladesh can win home matches these days.
The only team that hasn't had a poor away record is SA, and they also have issues with their ageing players coming to the end of their careers. Can't see steyn playing any longer than 2 years from now.

When I was a kid, every county used to have an overseas player for the season. I watched players like Allan Donald, Shaun Pollock, Kumar Sangakkara etc play for Warwickshire, with players like Shane Warne, Ricky Ponting etc play against them.
If you look at the county teams this year, it is mainly older, more experienced players that sign for a county (such as Amla) whilst younger players only sign for the T20 series.
Do you think this has a big impact on teams struggling on other continents? The fact that other than test cricket , these players are only playing white ball cricket elsewhere must have an impact. Other than Rogers (who spent years playing county cricket), these Australian players look clueless on how to play in anything other than their home conditions.
Brilliant cricket from England
If you think the ashes is a pointless thing you must be mad !
Really pleased for captain cook and I'm glad he shut piers Morgan up
An excellent series win for England. Every chance now they could take the series 4-1 which goes to show at home in seaming and swing conditions on a pitch with some green tinge on it, England remain as hard as ever to beat. Especially with the caliber that Anderson, Broad and co. are able to display when conditions suit them to a tee.
A number of the Aussies could learn a lot with playing a season in county cricket. Rather than chasing the money around the world
Then maybe just maybe, they'll put up a decent display in England
Steve Smith was nothing short of an arrogant disaster. No surprise there best batman by a long way was Rogers. He's simple, patient and the furthest thing from arrogant

FINE TURN AROUND.....AND ALL CREDIT TO HIM....ATTACKING CAPT THIS TIME....
I think to become a truely great batmen you need to spend at least 1 season in county cricket. Like Tamwolf said none of the younger top class talent bother, they are all too worried out 20/20 Cricket.
In the past all the top players came over but these days the schedule is too hectic. Also find it very strange that the younger english guys dont try there luck abroad to get better.
Always knew Smith would struggle in England with the swinging ball. He got a lucky double ton when he was dropped on 50 by Bell.
Rodger should have got MOTM that game, didnt give a sniff to the bowlers and Opened the innings but as hes not the cool kid Smith was chosen.
Rodgers is top notch which is why i like him, done his time and it the only aussies u can trust to score runs.
I just had a look at the latest scores on the bbc. I honestly don't understand Australia.. They need batting practice.. yet decide to bowl first?? bizarre decision that.
I see Shane Watson is out..Guess how he got out?? run out?? bowled??? caught and bowled?? caught keeper/slips?? nooooo LBW
Worrying signs again for the Aussies in that tour match. Smith,Marsh and Voges failing again, Watson out LBW again.. Selection headache.
Jimmy to miss the game. England unchanged. Aussies without Hazlewood with Cummings likely to play.

Don't know sorry Raptor, not sure it's possible, just try go somewhere and watch it if possible.
Have enjoyed the last couple of test matches but it somewhat hasn't felt quite complete. I think Shane Watson getting out LBW every innings and reviewing it has been the missing factor. Hope he plays tomorrow.
I don't think Lbwatson will play tomorrow.. rumours mike marsh back in and cummins to replace hazlewood.. England unchanged..
Mike Marsh? Isn't that Liverpool's old first team coach? Didn't know he had taken up cricket.
Probably could make a case for getting in this Australian batting line up though.
oh yeah and I keep calling peter nevile phil nevile...same standard with the bat..
