The one thing that does make me laugh is the amount of people who dislike Hamilton because he 'moans', yet love Button who is no different

Yeah. But that moaning is what make other fans love him. They feel he is being genuine.
Britain waitied a long time to have a dominant world champion. And I am glad the fans appreciate his talent. The roar everytime his car passes by on Sunday is enough proof that the real F1 fans in Britain are supporting Lewis.

Is it legal for you to be this far up hamiltons rear?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's the law.
Who is your favourite driver on the grid?
Neither the real reason for the massive attendence was ticket prices .... They have been dropped a fair bit for the first time in years, couple that in with the good weather in the build up to it also. In terms of support the Brits come out in their forces regardless of how much a chance Lewis or any other Brit has. Me for example that was the first time iv seen a Brit win at Silverstone in 4 visits. Now iv been a huge Hammertime fan since he broke thro, he is hands down the most talented driver on the grid just now (the only rival he may have had over the past cpl of years was Alonso) but even then he has now clearly surpassed him in my eyes. He needs to tone it down with the fan friendly stuff tho not really heard/watched any of the race back from the weekend yet and dunno how bad he was but i can imagine lol. "this was for the fans", "the fans really got me thro that one" now the actual sayings aint that cringe but the frequency in which he keeps on referring to it is gettin a little annoying now and i can only imagine it was worse at the weekend.
Good race tho and Hamilton again slapped the field across the face with his assertion that he is top dawg just now and the rest can just feed of his scraps.
Lewis
The reason I got into f1. The best driver and biggest character on the grid. Formula 1 revolves around Lewis these days.
My dad is a petrol head and I remember going to races with my brother and dad. Fantastic times. I have seen so many great drivers and Lewis is up there with the best I have seen race live.
He is a national treasure and it is only in the UK you will find people belittling one of their own. You never see this anywhere.
It is not just about the moaning;
His father is there (ignore everyone elses father)
His girlfried is there (ignore everyone elses)
He has tattoos (ignore Buttons and Alonsos)
He does not live in the UK and does not pay tax (excuse Button, Di Resta, Chilton and just about every single F1 driver)
He is friends with rappers and pop stars (newsflash, they have been coming to races even before he was in F1)
In summary, the hatred of him is illogical and it is mostly by jealous folk.
True racing fans appreciate his talents.
I remember the race at Barcelona when the team said, stay second, he said, is it impossible and still went for it.
That is what racing is all about

Ah the German lover is here.
Can you explain to us how a 4 time world champion cannot inspire his people to attend a grand prix?
I think his people like all of us know, he's a dud
MUDD
It does make me laugh, for the sheer fact peoples reasoning to dislike him should mean they dislike every driver on the grid
More people round the world know more of Lewis than Attenborough thats just a fact. Lewis is right up there as being one the top known sports in the world with only mayweather really known more globally.... And for all the noise made about the money Mayweather actually makes it should be pointed out that now with the new contract Lewis earns more per annum !! insane !! Lewis is a huge star easily Britains most famous/popular by a long shot. All from a sport that isnt close to being the biggest viewed of the posrts is very impressive.

Not at the moment. maybe for the generation 5 yr ago but no way Beckham is more popular than him neither is Rooney not a chance in europe maybe yeah but round the world not a chance. I, fairly certain that Lewis holds more lucrative sponsorship deals than both now. Maybe not Becks when he was playing but now he will. He earns over £100m a year as his basic pay from Merc!!!
Is it official that Hamilton is the highest paid sportsar in the world?

Floyd is the highest earning yeah but not paid ...and Hamilton will overtake him .. they say Floyd has earned just under $500m but Lewis just signed a £300m deal over 3 years ie £100 a year ... Floyd made just over $100m from his last fight his highest ever paycheck before that was $52m (i think) remember this is dollars. Floyd doesnt get a guaranteed wage Lewis does. And i disagree i think if you asked someone from like America who is more popular Wayne Rooney or Hamilton the answer would be Hamilton. Hamilton is massive (granted some of his fame is due to being a black man in a historically predominantly white sport) but it is what it is... plus he is a far more talented driver than those guys will ever be footballers if that makes sense.
I completely disagree ..... MUDD whats your opinion as a Man Utd man and F1 man ....
