Mighyt Qiunn, Think I might have said this before, but I went up Tinto for a charity. The two guys I were with were a lot younger. There comes a point (which I'm sure you know) you can take the short cut or the easier longer way I took the longer way. Keep posting about your walks TMQ

I liked debating with Stevie. (was it the same St3vie from bbc days when I mainly observed?)

Didn't usually agree with him much on here but I did enjoy discussing our thoughts.

And Btw Jimbo I'm not sure if you were just a reader on here or a Newco member.

I read these forums for ages even back to the BBC days before I signed up for ja606. I knew who everyone was cause I had been reading for years.

Was regularly asked who I really was if I remember right somebody thought I was SDF

Time we started to accept people at face value. There might be an occasional wum, but seldom imho.

There seems to be a train of thought that because we don't agree with Stevie/RSL that we Rangers fans have all had the wool pulled over our eyes by King. Let's get this straight.

I am happy with things just now because I see progress on the playing side. We have a good management team who appear to be pulling together a hungry team of players who will be fit, well coached, well disciplined, well organised and playing a fairly expansive style of football. EVERYTHING they have NOT been in recent years!

The manager is looking to do this without spending a fortune on wages and transfer fees. FFS, this should be a good thing, but people are trying to spin it as bad - i.e. 'Where's the money?'

The football is the most important thing just now. The board (it's not just King remember) can be left to deal with all the other issues. As long as bills are being paid and progress is being made on the park, that is all that matters just now. There may be times in the future when we need to question the board, but I'm happy with things as they are.

For all of King's many, well documented faults, I believe he and the board want the club to do well.

Going back to Stevie, I can understand his belief that Ashley would want a successful Rangers as it would be the only way he could make money, but his links with the Easdales, and who knows who else, the arrogance of his dealings with the club (no attempt to inform fans of his plans) and above all the extremely one-sided nature of the contracts entered into via SD should I believe be a red flag when it comes to having any control over the club. He is <screwing> the club, squeezing every penny he can out of us.

I think Stevie wants the best for Rangers, I just don't agree with how he thinks it should have been done. He kind of painted himself into a corner and had no way out, but it's never too late to come back and start talking football.

Since Ally McCoist was appointed, and if we are being honest probably even before then, the football side of things has not been great. I believe there is finally a bit of hope for optimism on that front, and the new board are responsible for that appointment.

To all Rangers supporters, Stevie included, give the playing side of things a few months and see how we progress. Talk about the football, not the boardroom. Support the team/manager, not this administrator or that one.

Then we can perhaps start to move our attention to other areas if need be.
