I'm sure last season you were saying the same thing about signing 'real quality'. Our season depends entirely on our new signings. If they flop it will be a similar season to last where we finish between 5-8th but if they all do well we could be the suprise team and finish somewhere in the top 4

They mean Spurs.

If you get even get 5th place then you should consider that progress let alone talking about the title and top 4.

Money Rodgers has spent in his tenure you should be challenging for the title.

Indeed. £300m and 7 transfer windows to shape the team how he wants.

I assume Maureen means last years top five, which would include Spurs and exclude Liverpool. Hardly not stating the obvious. It will be the same top five as last year.

I'm not so sure. I think Spurs could stagnate as they have failed, thus far anyhow, to add any real quality to the squad. You've sold a right few players also. I think you need to add some quality to even stay on the same level as last season.

With Liverpool it's all going to depend on how quickly, if even, the new players perform.

United have added some good players to their squad. Arsenal haven't lost their best players for a couple of seasons now so will be there or thereabouts and of course City and Chelsea are very strong.

It's actually around £80m. A great improvement in the squad since he took over for just £80m.

Genuinely, who have spurs got that are going to challenge for top 4? I dont mean any discredit, obviously Kane looks the part but we will see in his second season, after that who? Loris, yep rate him too but cant thimk of many others tbh.

Who have Liverpool got?

Lloris only genuine top 4 player. Kane only if he continues form, Erikson borderline. The rest are mid table players. Tough season for Spurs if they don't sign anyone

posted on 28/7/15

If Lloris and Kane are the only Top 4 quality players Spurs have, then Liverpool have maybe only two as well, Sturridge and Coutinho.

gerrard..coutinho..lallana..sterling..henderson..............markovic..can will prove how strong our midfield is this season; although 2 points of the title should tell.u all you need to know.

Poch must be a cracking manager.... Getting that useless squad of mid table players into fifth last season.

Gb stop it mate. We are not getting 4th unless one of arsenal or united have a stinker. We should instead concentrate winning a trophy and getting ahead of spurs first

Ace...wasnt trying to wind up, genuinely wanted to know who is going to push you on.

In our case I could name benteke, Coutinho, Milner, sturridge, Lallana, clyne and Henderson and we wait on firmino and to see if Can and Ibe can kick on.

posted on 28/7/15

I wouldn't say our defensive issues are sorted, although Can in his right place with Clyne a proper RB and Milner in MF should certainly help.

posted on 28/7/15

This assumption that Can will fit in seamlessly into a DM role is flawed GB.

He hasn't played there enough .
