I have the exact same gut feeling I had under Ramos.
WHY? The season has not even started yet? FFS I give up with some of you. Entitled to your opinion of course, but stop being so darn negative. The team looks fine to me, especially with all the youngsters. If this was any other team in the prem, the pundits would be raving about the age of the team, and what a bright future it had.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because I have seen this before mate. The people at Spurs are very reactive to who is flavour of the month. Poch was flavour of the month at the time so we bring him in. (We have done this several times with our scoting network and youth coaches)
I do not rate Poch at all. To the point I researched his history to see that every season he does the same thing. I wanted to see if my opinion was stupid or not. The history back it up. Rigid in formations and players look like world beaters in August but also rans in March because you cannot keep the fitness levels. With very little ability to change games.
We had a few good games last season but just a few. I will point you to many more bad ones, hull we got lucky, villa we got lucky, Europa league against rubbish oppenents we got lucky, outplayed by league one Sheffield united, outplayed by a bang out of form Leicester city, the worst game I have ever seen in my life Burnley away (and I was at the 7-1 Newcastle thrashing back in 97)
Not to mention if Kane had not developed as he did the season would have been much, much different. The development was certainly not down to poch who again got lucky.
I would love him to prove me wrong but that's why I am downbeat about the first stage of the season.
But hey lets see what happens. Everyone has different views no point getting annoyed about them

I am interested to know how you can come 5th with only a few good games.

Chelsea also have Falcao all three of their options to play the one striker role every fan is referring to.
Falcao on last season`s form, I would sooner have Soldado. Falcao will do buggggger all at Chelsea.

agreed. especially if true poch was against usa tour.
I understand the need for commercial income, but sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture.
pisssssing your manager off with a silly pre season schedule is not good for business either.
As much as LLM is a reasonable poster some of the things said are way off the mark.
Getting smacked by Madrid or Bayern would have no impact on Poch's job. I highly doubt we will play 5-3-1-1 against United's 4-3-3.
Im not worried about signings as long as the come in by the end of the window. We have a team that can play the first few games and win them too if things go well.
What we do need is cover and new players for the season ahead. Whether they come in within the next 20 minutes or 20 days doesnt really matter.

this. as things stand the team is AT WORSE the same side as we had last year when we came 5th.... apart from loads of those players are a year older and more experienced, and more used to the prem....
and then we have strengthened key areas and got promising kids back from their loans.
some of our fans are just a joke to be honest.

No fans are a joke mate everyone has an opinion.
I hear what you are saying but when teams around you strengthen better then you have to question will we be as strong or finish in the same place. I do not see it.

No offence meant, it is just that I am getting fed up with all the negativity from a lot of our supporters before a ball is kicked. Pre season preparation is not ideal I will agree, but lets wait and see what happens first dozen games. If it all goes ti.ts up, then I will be the first to apologise. But I don`t think it will, and I reckon some are in for a pleasant surprise.

No the gap is too big. Aggregate positions I talk about it all the time. You will never see arsenal or Chelsea mid table.
8th is as low as we can really finish because of the gap, money and quality that builds over years.
Not as predictable as the spl or primera liga but close.

Chronic what's wrong with Hernandez??
Why do people think we only need two options upfront?
You look at the best teams in the world / league and they have 3/4 good options.
Man city: Bony, Aguero, Dzeko (although dzeko is leaving they will replace him)
Liverpool: Benteke, Ings, Sturridge, Borini, Ballotelli, Ferminho (Ok Liverpool have to many strikers)
but you get the point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Firmino isn't a striker. I'm guessing Borini and Balotelli will be gone before the season starts.
Not to mention if Kane had not developed as he did the season would have been much, much different. The development was certainly not down to poch who again got lucky.
I would love him to prove me wrong but that's why I am downbeat about the first stage of the season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It honestly annoys me when I read comments like these because the same thing was said with Bale and AVB. "If this hadn't happened or this player hadn't played then it would have been a different story". Well of course!! But it did happen and that's what matters. There is always someone or a few that step up.
I think the negativity is used for a win-win situation with our posters. If the team fails then they feel like a football Nostradamus and if the team does well then who cares if they were wrong, Spurs are winning.
One of the key reasons we did well last season was the fact we were the ONLY team in the PL who had 3 players in double figures for goals.
The development was certainly not down to poch who again got lucky.

got lucky
whats that saying again? rather have a lucky manager than a good one!
If Kane gets a bad injury this season and we will have to rely on either Ade, soldado or shaq! None are fit to lace Harry's boots. We were extremely lucky last year regarding injuries. Now we have trimmed the squad players, that we didn't really need because of that luck. I just hope we have the same luck this season, but otherwise quite a few people will have egg on there face. Another keeper for example, McGee our third choice is terrible and yes I have seen him play in the skin!

Last season you would have said the same thing about Kane not being able to lace the striker's boots. You just never know who will develop and/ or take up the goalscoring throne.
But I do agree we need a striker to not solely rely on a spectacular season from someone. We will get one if Ade and Soldado are off.
CM and Winger are of highly importance to me. We need a very good CDM as a priority followed by a pacey winger and then a striker.
Let's hope we get another striker the sooner the better. A lot seem to expect Alli to play a big in our season. I hope he does, looks a beast for his age. I personally would be happy with at the very least Lennon out Mirallas in, Ade and Soldado out and Austin/ Hernandez in, and somebody to back up vorm incase Hugos wrist causes him further problems mid season. This should've been done weeks ago though.
