I think the 5:cricket highlights have been very good. Usually watch that rather than the sky highlights then switch to sky for the verdict. Hope 5 do a midweek champo programme as the bbc never did and there are some belting midweek games.
"Will miss Leroy Rosenior and Steve Claridge."
They are intelligent guys who always had something insightful to offer.
Would be great if they were on the show again.
If not, send them to the USA, please. Aside from Ian Darke and Steve McManaman, our commentators are mostly awful.
I'd rather the commentators keep as quiet as possible - everyone watching can see what is happening - and I'd do away with all the punditry and analysis so more of the action can be shown. They mostly are just saying what the average viewer could say and getting paid ££££££'s for it.
The Owl - that is exactly the problem with the American commentators - they talk too much!
Shocker, I know!
Bleedin' Alexi Lalas is the worst of all, talks the full shat!!!
On Sky Sports there used to be an option of just the crowd noise and no commentary - that was good
Mind you, in America you would get the chants of "I believe that we will win" - cringe
No no Kitty, it is
I
I believe
I believe that
I believe that we
I believe that we will
faccccccccccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkooooooooooooooooffffffffffffffffffffffff
See Roger Johnson has rocked up at Colorado to train now
Maybe he's found his level now
At what point did you chaps realize the U.S. Men's team had passed your national team?
Been telling them for years that they are no better than the USA mate.
England are a shocking team, the most overrated national side over the last 30 odd years.
Can't say much myself mind, Scotland have been a mess for quite some time, until these last few years where things are looking up again.
Cinci, we were stunning against the Netherlands and Germany last month then went cold in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Go figure!
PS Played youngsters in the early games and oldsters in the cup. Maybe that was it?
Dunno what happened to them in the gold cup, though I guess they had lost all the fire in their bellies for the third place game.
Klinnsmann is surprisingly cautious though.
Awful so far bring back the fls.
First highlights were good though
More action, less Fantasy Football please
Yes, we all want to see the goals and action, and not listen to some "expert" spouting off. And who are these "supporters" in the studio? and what are they for?

If only the programme makers asked us - the fans - what we want from a highlights programme.
I'd like to see just the football action with voiceover, interviews with the managers and players and that's it.
Nothing else. Just spend a bit more time on the "match of the day" in each of the 3 divisions.
No presenters. No analysis from anyone. No superfluous guests. Absolutely no supporters looking stupid.
ACTION, ACTION. ACTION.;THAT'S ALL .
I thank you.
