he was dropped and is extremely unhappy about it as he had been blocked from moving in January with promises made by the manager, who has now gone back on them, again. This is not the first time for him to suffer like this at the hands of Rodgers, who just refuses to accept we need a defensive midfielder, so I can't see him staying much longer, sadly. He has been treated extremely badly by the club

The Ed at Liverpool rumours said this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so it must be true then, good god what is next.

The article is about Lucas and rumours that he wants to leave. I added to the discussion. Where do I say it true? People need to stop being wise asses.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I did not say " you said it was true" , you want to read my comment properly.
Fair enough, if you were not being sarcastic then I stand corrected.

The myth rodgers alienated Agger again.
--------------------------
Yes Agger was injury prone, but Rodgers also managed him very badly. To make him vice captain and give him hope, to then barely play him when he was available and finally ship him out was just typical bad management by Rodgers.
Rodgers is still a very naive young manager who is as stubborn as they come - not a good combination. His handling of Sakho has been dreadful and again if he believes Allen is more valuable than Lucas than his delusion is shining through once more.

He managed him badly by playing him every game he was fit, making him vice captain and then when he asked to leave for free, allowing it? Wow.

No that is not true. He barely played him after making him vice captain. Agger asked to leave due to the lack of chances. Yes he was injury prone but he was still twice the defender Skrtel was at the time.
Agger's legs had gone at that point and he was getting done all over the place. He started 35 games in Rodgers first season and 20 the next.
There is a reason he went to Brondby.
Still nothing to suggest that Rodgers has mismanaged Lucas other than a bunch of old womens gossiping over a cup of tea and a jammie dodger?

Why did Agger lie and you tell the real truth then?
Strange.
I'll remember to come to you for the real truth in future rather than listen to the guys party to the situation. Cheers.

I would have thought Agger, being twice the player of Skrtel, would walk the Danish league POTY awards and Brondby POTY awards.
He didn't win either.
Weird.
He played 19 games for Brondby. This is why he was sold.
This has been our home and somewhere we have been very happy and settled. However, more recently I have started to feel the effects of playing regularly in a league that is as physically demanding as the Premier League is, and I would not want to stay if I did not think that I was able to meet that challenge week in, week out.
"Liverpool have been such a big part of my life and my family's lives for so long, that leaving is extremely difficult.
"The opportunity arose for me to return home to Brondby and at this stage of my career it felt like the right decision for me.
"I wouldn't leave here to go anywhere else and that has been proven by my actions in recent seasons – I have turned down many offers to move to other Premier League and European clubs.
"I would like to thank the Liverpool supporters for the incredible backing they have given me in my time here and the warmth and generosity of spirit displayed to my family.
"The club itself is very special and I shall remain a supporter for the rest of my life. I regard every game I played at Anfield as a privilege."
Liverpool are losing an asset worth in excess of £10 million for a nominal feel.
Introducing...The Fircoutinhoes!! (U1783) ....ahem?
Agger was awesome under rafa, after that he just broke down too much and couldn't handle any type of physical forward. He made Lukaku look like Drogba in his peak
i would say that injuries have done for both agger and lucas.
LFC though need to look forward and lucas can't get about well enough... thats the sad fact so if he goes we must replace.
I hope we keep him
Our good run of form last season was in large part down to him being in the side

No lets keep Allen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What has keeping Allen got to do with keeping Lucas? As has been already pointed out to you on numerous occasions throughout this thread Lucas is a defensive midfielder, Allen is not. We don't play with a defensive midfielder and thus Lucas' games will be limited.
