As I pointed out to Andre. Move on and buy someone else. Your second or third target. Try, try again until you succeed.
This because the basic premise that made you look for an alternative to Giroud has not changed when you targeted Suarez, Higuain or Benzema. And as I explained, no one could foresee that Bergkamp or Henry were going to so good at Arsenal.

As someone else already pointing out. This is not going to Tesco and buy what you want. Wenger explained it today. There are a shortage of CF in the market but there is money in the game.
Benzema isn't an improvement over Giroud imo and definitely isn't worth the amount being bandied.
So we'll just have to wait another year because clubs aren't out there putting for sale signs on their assets.
If this was the first summer where we'd obviously needed a top striker but failed to sign anyone then I'd be understanding but this is the FOURTH if you include when we were selling RVP. Sorry but it just isn't good enough given all this money we're supposed to have available. It only took Maureen 2 summers to get who he wanted, what's our excuse for not doing similar? And lack of money just doesn't cut it anymore.

I mean there is a little word called risk we as Arsenal fans need to become familiar with!...Arsenal is a very risk averse club...partially necessary because of financial constraints over the years and partially because of Arsene....we're NOT that club anymore!....The club is financially secure...taking a risk on France's and Real Madrid's starting CF for me is an absolute no brainer.....if he is a success and fires us to a first title in 10 plus years...tell me...would the 45 million be worth it?!....I definitely think so....what kind of statement is being made if we go into the season with no further purchases other than Cech Man?!!....not a a very good one if you ask me!
