Secured his family future, with that move to Norwich.
Not sure why he'd be kicking himself
And he went back home months ago
What are the financial details you know of which secured his family future?

What are the financial details you know of which secured his family future?
-----------------------------------
3 and half year deal to go to a premiership club.
If you don't think he made millions from that deal, fair enough.
If you don't think it's made him financially very well off, fair enough.
Just seem logic, he made a lot of money from that deal.
Maybe am wrong, what's your thoughts ??
The signing on fee alone was probably more than we paid him in a year.
Going to Norwich was a no-brainer for him.
Loved him at Leeds and I'm sure he'll say his best years were at Leeds, but not his richest.
My thoughts are that:
I have no knowledge of the deal he had before he left.
I have no knowledge of his deal when he left.
I have no knowledge of what he might have had at Leeds had he stayed.
So I don't know.
However, your post sounds like you do know something. I would like to bet you know no more than I do.
Therefore, Ellando's comment about Becchio 'kicking himself' might be true?
I guess we will never know.
They were his richest years as a player/goalscorer.....He was a good servant for us despite what a few was saying about "not being able to trap a football".We should have kept him, instead of swapping for what we got....That's numbskull Warnock,s fault. And I bet Warnock made a few bob out of the deal too,why else would you sell a player with 19 goals in half of a season for an injured non starter that couldn't score a fraction of Bechios goals?.
Kev
Don't think anyone didn't think he was a good servant.
And don't think anyone thinks it wasn't a bad deal.
The problem wasn't really selling him, he wasn't playing well at the time and scoring pens doesn't hide that, it was replacing him with the wrong person
Logic not your bag ???

I tend to mostly work with facts, not opinion.
You should try it sometime.

You do know that your on a forum, which the all basis of it is too discuss people opinion ???
If all we talked about in here was actual facts which could be proved 100%, there be one thread a week and nobody would post
Becchio was good I thought, did his best every game - of that I've no doubt or question.
Making the move to a prem side would have secured his financial future i'd imagine. Not being privy to the finer details none of us truly know. But logic says he didn't got to Norwich to be worse off!!!!
I don't think he's gone back to Argentina with his tail between his legs - it's his homeland, good luck to the guy.
He was never our best player, he certainly wasn't our worst. He gave 100% in every game I saw him play, regardless of his ability, that secures him a place in the records of our good (maybe not great in the bigger scheme) players.

I understand that this is a place to discuss views and opinions.
Maybe you should try using words which suggest that you are stating an opinion instead of making your comments sound like you are in the know and that what you write is indeed the case?
You know, words like:
I think, I reckon, maybe and IMO.
That's my opinion, btw.
That's my opinion, btw.

Hang on, thought you dealt in facts not opinion
Whilst noone knows the actual facts of an individual deal its a well know fact that Premiership players earn a lot more than championship and hence logic tends to form a pretty accurate opinion that Becchio will have made some good money from the Norwich deal.
He wasnt in the squad for the Belgrano game last night - live streamed on bet 365
As usual, avoid the main context of the last post, by trying to be word-wise clever.
Becchio was a great servant to Leeds United.
He was better than Morison and Sharp wrapped together.
He ran channels better than either...! He trapped balls into the onion bag better than either with both feet and his head and anything else he had available...!
Good luck to him.
I thought him going was Warnock thinking he'd pulled one over on Norwich City?..
He said it himself somewhere but said with Morison coming the other way it didn't go the way he'd hoped!..
So LIW, one of our best all time scorers, in the top 10 at somewhere around 6th if its to be believed!..
His goal scoring for this club and 19,(with the odd penalty!)suggests your talking the same old crap when it comes to player's you said the other night played for Leeds and shouldn't be brought down!..
LIW, your allowed to do it eh?..
He did more for this club as far as goals go than Ross or Beckford, and when people don't see that than its them that don't have a clue!.
Odd that, I thought you had more clue than others, so you say?..
Penalty's, can you tell us how many he scored in all the goals he did, and don't forget, Ross scored a few with his but missed how many?.
Germany
I liked becchio. He just wasn't very good for the last 18 months, move after to move was breaking down because he couldn't hold it up. The pens we're not enough to make up for that, and then barely playing for 3 years suggest Norwich thought the same.
You watch Saturday ??
That what a good centre forward performance gives you.
The basis to play well
Did you watch Saturday?..
That was a team performance, you know, something Leeds had forgotten existed!..
Shaun, come on, out with it!..
Instead of the........why don't you answer what I've asked?..
He scored goals, that's why he was there, but hey, some didn't like him doing what he was there to do!..
19 in half a season, who was the last to do that for Leeds United?..
He just wasn't good for the last eighteen months...?
19 goals between August and January in his last season with us and he says that...?
What a turnip...!
His all round game had slumped,
He was dropped even in this scoring run of pens
You wouldn't know because you was on your fake
boycott.
Strange how the people who went week out week in, say he wasn't playing well, yet them who don't, seem to think he was playing brilliant.
And the season before he was scoring one in four games.
Said it at the time and nobody will ever change what I saw with my eyes.
Pens hid how bad he was playing at the time and the team was really suffering for it
