Tola

he doesn't haunt me. If my club had of bought a past it Spanish sulker for £50m i would of felt haunted.

Carroll will do fine. He will be Englands striker for the next 5 years at least and will score us some goals.

Torres on the other hand will rip you changing room to pieces and upset the managers of Chelsea (Terry, Drogba and Lampard). They are the ones who pick the squad and decide when the manager is no good.

Ignore Tola worst WUM for a while. It's clear we're better football fans than him as we didn't bring up £50 mill for Torres...

Oops did I say that out loud?

Neither really. The ignorant and petty, such as yourself, will never be convinced.

I am totally convinced that you are young and not seen enough football in your life to realise that you are most probably very wrong.

Erm, the fact that he is playing for England and is scoring goals?

Jesus wept. I really do not know how this lad dresses himself in the morning. Maybe he does not?

Tola, do you have any evidence to suggest Torres will come out of his slump any time soon? No?

Thought not.

Well considering he has over 50 goals in the PL, he has a better chance than Carroll. That was in a weaker Liverpool side than the Chelsea team he plays for now.

do you have any evidence that liverpool will win the league or have ever done so?

thought not.

David Nugent (Preston North End for those of you not in the know) scored one goal for England also.

A quality he and Andy Carroll share with noted others such as Ugo Ehiogu and Ledley King

He is in the current England squad as well. To be honest I do not know why you think he will not do well.

I know this will be tough but would you mind trying to write a mature and well thought out piece on why you do not think he will do well and what areas of his game you think he needs to improve on.

Otherwise it's looks as though you are simply slating him for no other reason than to be churlish.

So, why don't you think he'll score goals?

posted on 30/8/11

And that's how it works, what he did yesterday. Do you seriously not see any difference in the Torres from two years ago to the Torres of now? Seriously?

On that reckoning Tola here you go

Djimi Traore has more champions league medals than Chelsea so that means that Djimi Traore is better than Chelsea.

See how easy it is to make ridiculous comments

Stevie G has scored the same amounts of goals for Chelsea as Torres, so he's in pretty good company.

hahahahaha]

They both have a distance before they can equal Carraghers record against Liverpool

Alright my piece of Andy Carroll.

He has never had a full season in the PL. The season before he wasn't even close to being the Championship top goal scorer. You could argue that Liverpool bought him on the back of good form rather than actual ability.

His attributes include a poor first touch. Little or no pace. Vermaelan for Arsenal had the beating of him in the air the other day despite being about 4 inches shorter. He strikes me as lazy, and does not have the movement of a top striker.

By the way strikers may lose their pace. But they dont lose their knack of scoring goals. Torres hasn't. He needs time.

Andy Carroll was valued at £500,000 in newcastle's club accounts over a year ago.

1 goal in 20 means he has lost his knack I'm afraid.

I'm surprised about your appraisal of Carroll. Smacks of regurgitated sound bites to me. I was wondering what games you watched him in to conclude your findings?

For example he has a 1 in 2 strike rate in the Premiership since turning 20 years old. It's well documented that his touch is good and that his game is not about pace. Vermaelen is well noted for being very very good in the air so no problem there.

Other than the Arsenal game what other games have you seen him play in? Y'know the ones where he has a 1 in 2 strike rate.

What games were they and why were you watching Newcastle?
