Depends how much time they give him.
Not sure they have the squad to play the style he will want to.
Its a big ask Robb for him to just come in and completely turn the clubs fortunes around.
For me if he can get a defined way of playing and stick to it accompanied with the development of young players and hopefullyy the attraction of some decent ones I will be happy.
Just to be challenging again for honours would do me.
I am under no illusion we are as far away from winning the league as we have been at any time in the last 25 years.
However I am not in it for the glory other wise I would have given up on the team years ago.
I said it on another thread recently, I am 41 and have resigned myself to the fact I will never see Lpool win the league again.
Sad maybe but thats just my opinion, doesent change or affect my support mind you.
Klopp is a risk, it all depends how he adapts to the league and a new club, did well at Dortmund but only time will tell
we don't have the funds to be feared
maybe another good XI that flirts with the top but then the bigger clubs will come sniffing around whichever players got us there
it's always possible in theory and fun to hope but I'm with Irishred, I don't think I'll ever see another title at Liverpool. The financial dynamic has just changed too much, it's not the manager(s)
Should we, as United fans, all agree NOW to always call him Plop?
I think Plop will make the dappers a bit less rubbish, but they're a mid table selling club now, set up to develope young talent then sell them for a profit.
He's the latest fashionable manager, like Brendan was at Swansea. Hes obviously better than Brendan but the thought of him managing Liverpool doesnt fill me with fear like Ancelotti or someone like Guardiola would.
Why should we fear Liverpool? We are Manchester United FFS
We fear no one.

This.
Plus, he still has all of Brendans signings to work with.
On day that lot down the road will eventually get it right.. no doubt about that..
...maybe Klop will finally become their Fergie... who knows... either way as a Manc its been emotional watching them haplessly try for the past 25 years.
Especially with what we have achieved over the same period.
So... time to roll the dice again you scousers...!

he plays fast pressing football called heavy metal football tutonic style
i think Klopp is a better manager than Pep.
Pep has pretty much been handed everything to him on a plate in terms of teams he has taken over.
If Klopp brings some of his former staff with him, then he could very well awake the sleeping giant.
Dortmunds ability to sniff out a bargain is second to none (Bar Reus, the team that smashed Real Madrid a few seasons ago, combined cost less than Andy Caroll), and if they can bring this to Liverpool then they will become a threat I believe.
Everyone who has played under Klopp has nothing but the upmost respect for him and enjoyed playing under him.
Dont be shocked to see a Dortmund player or 2 join him at Liverpool.

he's won a lot more recently than butthead ffs.
I think given time Klopp will make a difference, but he will need better than what he has got.
Also are Liverpool a selling club?
Overall I think Klopp isa huge signing, but I do see similarities with BR too
I think that a lot of people are overrating Klopp. A lot of his success is due to the the overall Dortmund structure and at Liverpool he will be largely slotting into a wholly less effective structure.
I doubt that Klopp will be able to emulate what Rodgers achieved a couple of seasons ago and I wouldn't be surprised if this all ends in Scouse tears.
Dont be shocked to see a Dortmund player or 2 join him at Liverpool.

But I still want "Plop" references please
No, their squad is average and they don't have the finances to compete with the big boys. The owners expect CL qualification which I doubt they will get any time soon. Unless he wins them the Europa in the next 3 seasons he will be gone. Liverpool job is a poisoned chalice.
God, the amount the football landscape has changed over the last couple of decades, and you're writing off a future half a lifetime of league attempts. Cheer up fellas.
Unless the new manager shakes the clubs culture up from top to bottom, as Fergie did, at United, Liverpool will just continue to drift along, as they have done for the past quarter century, as a big club that once upon a time was very good under Shankly and the other bloke.

He did well as long as his "motivation regime" began to struggle and players were bored off.
He left Dortmund in a mess with wrong players decisions for example, Kagawa, Sahin, Ramos, Immobile are only a few he burned money.
So why you all think he is the new Messiah is beyond me.
Not sure if Kloppo will join Liverpool or is waiting of Guardiola's job next season which is moreless no risk in contrary to the Liverpool job.
Anybody who is thinking the guy is a magician is completely wrong.

Klopp can't make you competitive enough with this group of mediocre players but if he manages to sign a gem like Suarez, then everything becomes possible.
Think klopps initial remit will be getting top 4. It's all about CL football with owners and investors. If he hasn't acheved this after 3 years he's gone
Gutted we got rid of Brendan.
