also, and I may be biased wtf has he got against Aberdeen players
Reynolds better than Hanley/Greer etc
Reynolds better than Hanley/Greer etc
Easy tiger
Apart from Martin we actually don't have one decent centre half, that's terrifying
Even if Scotland had won last night they'd be heading out probably so people need to bear that in mind

Would John Hughes be such a bad appointment?
============
nah it would be a great appointment.
he's only ever managed in scoltand and has been sacked previously by hibs and hartepool.
he's clearly the man to lead us forward
I like hughes, and have always said we could use him as a coach at celtic, not as a manager but in a coaching role, but this is non starter guys come on
It's not inconceivable that Ireland would have beaten Poland though RnR, that's still a good chance to go through.
To go out last night though is just so depressing.
well id start Robertson or Shinnie at LB any day of the week ahead of Whittaker
he's only ever managed in scotland and England*** has been sacked previously by hibs and hartepool.
I rate Hughes, he's always got his young teams playing some good stuff and he's certainly not shy to boot someone up the erse.
We need a different approach and I wouldn't mind him coming in as assistant during the world cup qualifying campaign and then taking over after it.
gie it to Jimmy Calderwood 244 all the way
I like hughes mate but I wouldn't want him as Scotland manager
i'd be happy with him as an assistant rather than that cretin McGhee.
there is only one Scotsman out there that it would be worth licking his aarse to get him to take the job and that's ferguson.
and he wont.
I wouldnae say a good chance tbh. Poland at home would have picked up at least a point there. Scotland would still have needed to win on sun too, maybe a gimme but you never know, Gibralter could be due a result.
Gibralter v Scotland though, depressing as fook, thousands booked to go. I'f forfeit the dough and just stay at home.
Last night just completely re-affirmed for me why I don;t get emotionally involved with the Scottish international football team. A lifetime of failure
i dont see the downside of the Gibraltar game, these lucky bassas are away to Portugal for a holiday, they probs wont go to the game
I wouldnae mind a weekend in The Algarve
I seen a tweet last night, guy at mignight saying 'just in from the game, absolutely gutted, Gibralter away in 3 hours'
Grim
Heard on the radio the other night that large wedge was placed on Hughes for the Dundee Utd job, it swung from from 20/1 to 4/6 Someone is in the know.... or lost a load
dont know why he would take the Utd job if offered
Closer to the central belt Apparently he would like to work closer to his family as Inverness is a bit oot the way ken.
he left his family down south? didnt know that, feck moving to Dundee tho
Bigger club Fan, would be confident in his ability to turn it round and if he did, it's a good wee club with a decent support.
However, it didnae work out for Terry Butcher when he left his cushty job at ICT to go to Hibs.
Get a feeling that the ICT is Hughes 's for as long as he wants it but I reckon he'll want to challenge himself as he's maybe done all he can at ICT, delivering a first major trophy for the club in the process
