Morning Dunc, a lot of old people are very competent drivers but some especially old women are scary as fluck.
I think when you reach retirement age say 65 there is a roadworthy driving competency test you should have to sit.
Not the same as the standard test but 1 that shows you are still capable.
My wifes mother is 71 and there is no way in Gods green earth I would get into the car with her.

yep i agree mate, there should be something put into place, they can be just as much of a danger to those going too quick at times.
Depends on the individual some elderly people are still sharp and aware and far better drivers then younger people.
A test at 65 is a good idea with a follow up every few years.

I'm not a big Rugby fan but that was some game yesterday, pity we couldn't nick the draw in Poland but overall we didn't deserve it.

If it's all about driving then I'd add Asian mini-cab drivers, fkn nightmare when it comes to indicating or staying in lane, I'd add black men who think every road is a GP circuit and I'd add women with kids, the fruit of their loins spilling juice on themselves is more important than KEEPING YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD!!
In summary, get everyone off the road except me!

A load of posh fat lads running into each other on the pitch.
Not a fan but happy to see us doing well.
We were poor last night mate, although Lewa is a diving barsteward. We didnt deserve it.
What bugged me was with 20 mins to go, they didnt go for it hell for leather. What difference did losing 3 or 4 1 make?
If the lezzas drove like the men they want to be, no issue and the disabled should be back in their sky blue 3 wheelers to alert us to the need for caution.

Not about old people being bad drivers,the young are most likely to have bad accidents,that's why their insurance is so high.
Some kind of competency test (IMO) should be mandatory for over the 70’s.
There are folks on the roads that completed their driving test (if you could even describe it as a test) over fifty years ago, and so much has changed. From vehicle performance, amount of road users etc etc.

How can you check your blind spot with a hood up?
All drivers have to renew their license at 70 so why not have them sit a proficiency test before it gets renewed and then every 5 years after.
Someone mentioned black men speeding. I'll think you'll find that it's mostly young white men in their shiite Citroen Saxos and Vauxhall Corsas with spoilers that treat roads like they're at a track day.

fecking Gypo's racing, doing 80 in a 40.
crshed into a wall and the car went up in flames 2 were trapped inside and died, one got out but was on fire, someone out him out.
if i was there i'd have fanned the flames
fecking hate them with a passion, the reason the car went up so quickly was because they had a load of petrol in the back and they were setting fire to peoples cars.
glad they died, shame the other one didnt
