horses douvres tend to be a little nutty.
They don't look too happy as we won 4-2.

you dont have to satisfy anybody elses criteria to be a wolves fan
if you say you are then you are
anyone who tells someone else to clear off and support someone else is a KANT
ill gladly tell them that to their face if they want to arrange a meeting

Wolfgang speaks sense. We all have our own ways of supporting Wolves, and for many of us there's a large part of our lives behind it. I came as a student and through my involvement with the Molineux Mix Hotel, got to know, and socialise with players; married, brought up kids - following Wolves around the UK, with season tickets at home. Seen so much water flow under the bridge. Seen relegations and title wins. The depths, sinking to Div 4, and the highest points, winning the Champ outright and spending years in Thd Prem. Watched several wins at Wembley, and the play-off final at Millennium Stadium too.
We all have gone though many years of our lives following Wolves, and have done so in our own ways, with personal memories.
No Americant can take that away.
'winning the Champ outright'
It was at this point I lolidged
The first time I was there! Sammy Chung. A Wolves hero. Met him some years later, and he's a true gentleman.
Great sentiment but don't really know what Wolfgang was going on about in the first place?
The play off final, the greatest single day in wolves last 34 years.
Yes. It was the greatest single day. And I've always called it one of the best of my life.
We all knew we were playing for 3rd place though, to achieve promotion. It's an exciting way to do it.
We were playing for promotion, not third place, and no better way to do it
Most expensive single game as well, estimated to have been a 200 million quid play off last season
We all knew we were playing for 3rd place though, to achieve promotion. It's an exciting way to do it.
It gets better and better
it was lovely winning the league outright and not having to go through the lottery of the play offs.
I wonder if we can ever aspire to such heights again, or if the best KJ can aim for is top 6...
Not sure why there's ridicule. The play-offs is done to determine 3rd place, and promotion. I thought that was common knowledge. The top 2 positions are sealed in stone.
I had a great day in Newport, where we stayed overnight, then Cardiff, for the game. I'll never pretend that we did anything other than win the play-offs though.
i loved play-off final day too - amazing feeling after the game just walking around with my shirt on grinning like a buffoon.
but like you, bute, i only really class winning the league as part of wolves trophy haul. the play-offs is just an extra bit to the league to finish third.
Amazing day all round. Feeling the stadium shaking was awesome. Visited Bute Park before the game, never knowing I was going to be eventually living on the island whose Marquess was responsible for creating Cardiff as a city, all those years ago.

Just think - if it hadn't been for Bute, there'd have been no Cardiff, and certainly no Millennium Stadium. I think you should all thank me.
Not about a trophy though is it, its about promotion, the only thing any championship chairman is thinking about.
To win it is great, but its the promotion that is the important part, and the part everyone is wanting.
There won't be a single fan from any club finishing second or winning the play offs that will be feeling disappointed at not being champions.
Maybe we should be blaming you and not thanking you for Cardiff
Yes the final in Cardiff at the national stadium will live in the memory backs forever. Defo the most exciting way to get promoted, all that razzmatazz and flag waving, whooping and high fiving, when you think about it and the money at stake, it really is the closest thing to a Super Bowl
Not called the biggest game in footy for nothing.
I'll accept that going up as play-off winners is the most exciting way to get promoted, but the top sides will always set out to win the league. The play-offs is for those that have no realistic chance of winning the title. If we had Chelsea or Man City in this division right now, I suspect they's be after the title, and not a 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th place finish, regardless of it being a back door to potential glory, after a a play-off.
This is my view every year, whoever finishes in the top 6.
Winning the play offs was a great day, winning the title was a great season
