Good way to look at it DJ.

Personally from a wolves perspective that play off day was massive, a truly significant moment in wolves history, at a time when we all felt we were never getting out of the champo ever again.

Winning the play offs was a great day, winning the title was a great season

Excellently, and succinctly put. Wish I'd said it.

Sorry guys but i have bet on Wolves for Wednesday night

I never bet on Wolves but feel good about this one.

Winning the league is best imo. Finishing second is second best and winning via the play-offs is the third best option.
Losing in the play-offs which three of the four clubs do is terrible and Wolves have seen heartache from doing this.
Might as well finish 18th or 19th as lose in the play-offs as all clubs will start the following season in the same league.

We ain't going anywhere soon Cyp !

So stop worrying and try to enjoy the games, instead of mocking the current players. Don't worry Halfy can offer his counselling services at very reasonable rates

If you need me, just holla ?

Here's the deal;

I'll stop criticising the current players when they start performing to the level they should and display a pride in wearing the shirt of the team that I support.

Can't say fairer than that.

Do you believe they are not trying ?

Or do you believe they are not good enough ?

posted on 20/10/15

Maybe they are just trying to be not good enough. In which case they are doing that quite well

Probably a little of both, Halfy.

Some not good enough, some not putting everything into it. E.G. Afobe on Sunday.

Afobe is definitely good enough for mid-Championship level, but did he "bust a gut" during the Derby game! Not that I saw.
I know that it's controversial, but players should "put a shift in" as a matter of course. It should be a minimum, regardless of skill levels.
Edwards gets praise not because he is the most talented player at Mol, but because he tries. If Afobe put in the level of effort that Edwards displays, he would get 30 goals this season and earn his move from Wolves in January. Instead, he is doing the minimum knowing that it doesn't matter as he won't be at Wolves come May.

Don't buy that at all, our players did put effort in.

But for errors we wouldn't have lost the game.

Without question the better side overall in the first half, amazing we went in 3-1 down.

Second half we did lose our way.

Henry hit a great shot, had it gone into the net, it would have been a goal.

You know exactly what I mean cyp, you can't account for errors I am afraid.

As a performance it wasn't anywhere near as bad as is now portrayed.

posted on 20/10/15

Of course you can account for errors. Had we had a player on the post (as we were always taught to do) for Derby's corner at the end of the first half, we wouldn't have gone in 3-1 down. It's called organisation.

But that doesn't immediately rule out playing well, it is an error, nothing more, Kenny gets a slap, that's all.

As a team we were better than a team costing 20 million quid for much of a first half.

We lost because of some pee poor silly errors you won't see at high school level.

I'm looking for stats from the match, Cinci, because I don't recall us having more possession, more shots, more goals or outdoing Derby in any aspect during the first half. I'm willing to be proven wrong, if you have the info!

I don't care if they play in carpet slippers and tutus if it means we win games.

Truly cant be assed to dig up stats cyp, but we were not remotely outplayed in that first half.

Your negativity is over the top though, you complain when we finish 7th with record points, you complain if a win takes us to ninth not even a quarter of the way through a season, you complain throughout our time in the prem.

Your hopes and expectations are just unrealistic in the time frame you expect it.

Believe me, there are things to be feckin annoyed about with the running of the club, but every defeat doesn't automatically mean we are crap and nobody tried.

I don't think I said that. I said that it was a little bit of the players not being good enough and a bit of not trying.
Is it because I said that Afobe should and could do better that you've got your arss in your hands?

Agree with you Cyp. Derby fully deserved to lead at half time because they looked like scoring goals and we didn't. That was partly down to an excellent centre forward performance by Martin and partly due to poor defending. For all but a ten minute period after our first goal and before their second goal, Derby looked a far superior team to us all over the park. Apart from a poor defensive performance we had two midfield players that were completely anonymous in Price and Wallace and although it was good to see Afobe and Le Fondre score, they contributed nothing else to worry Derby.

Based on Sunday's game Derby may well go close to promotion whereas if that standard can't be improved on by Wolves we will finish lower than last season.

Were we hell. We hung on, didn't do badly perhaps were unlucky to be 2 down instead of 1 but better? Take yourself into the corner and have a word with yourself 'cause you is making you look daft.

Criticise who you want cyp.

You don't think playing a very good side had a little bearing on some players performance?

Second half we lost the midfield as better players took over, price had a rare poorer game and we were 4-1 down when Kenny tried to change it, sadly and obviously it was too late at that point., nobodies fault.

The biggest fault is the ridiculous decision to get rid of our best defender in his prime, we are gonna get done like this through naivety many more times yet this season unfortunately.
