Ramsfanbaz - watchin' yer <wink>
Let's say Williams comes in and bosses the midfield, works well with Vaughan and we actually win a game. Would anyone put Lansbury straight back in after his suspension?
Bit of a leading question there, but it'd be interesting to see what Freedman did in those circumstances.
Anyway, just seen the new Star Wars trailer so I'm happy enough tonight. That looks really good, so it's bound to be a big disappointment, like most things in life.
What about Jorge Grant? Surely we should be giving our own a chance?
FAlF - when is the film quiz kicking off tonight ?
I would've taken 1-1 v Burnley at 7.45pm to be honest in the context of them being an ex Prem club with a good team. Doesn't make good reading in terms of DF's record. The leading comments in the RN interview do muddy the waters a little and I just wonder what relations are like behind the scenes. There is a lot of pressure in there at this moment in time.

It's been cancelled due to bad refereeing. Just seen the Lansbury incident and there's no intent as far as I can see. I think we're judging Henri quite harshly by the looks of things. Twattwell can stay away from the City Ground from now on, because if I see his car parked it's getting paint stripper thrown on it.

Williams is an attacking midfielder so not sure he's a direct replacement for Lans. But he is quality and will link up well with Vaughan. Could do with Gardner behind them though.
I really hope he's not sacked. What a waste of time that'll be and with all these players he's signed.
Rev I don't want this to sound critical cause it isn't . But why do you watch football? Or forest? You seem to believe going into every game that we shoul win it. You are then disappointed and angry at any result bar a win.
This pattern has been going on for a number I years?
Wouldn't it be easier and more enjoyable if your expectations were more realistic?
Players have all the power these days. P them off? "I'll have a transfer, please". They can afford to sit back and collect their wages, or even not get paid, without any worries if they are frozen out of the squad ala Kelvin Wilson before his Celtic transfer. Managers are limited in controlling player's discipline these days and everyone knows it sadly.
Not read all posts on this thread. DF got his team selection and tactics right tonight. Good attitude and effort from the whole team, Burnley had a bit more quality and prem know how. Anyone disagree with that?
Was Joey Barton playing tonight?

To be fair to Lansbury, pre-match DF was talking about players going in hard winning challenges and getting the crowd going. Lansbury has been pretty decent this season discipline-wise so I would hang him over one poorly executed tackle.
From a tree or a bridge, Will?
It wasn't a poorly timed challenge, it was a cowards way of dealing with an opponent making a strong tackle.
You get a split second to decide what to do in any given situation on a sports field. Inevitably, you sometimes do things that are rash and ill considered. Cut the guy some slack. Some are going on like he is some kind of serial killer!!
That was a very creditable performance last night Reds. Congratulations! May your good form prevail in games against our rivals.
DF is a very decent guy. Cherish and support him. He's a far cry from the little man from Govan.
I guess the reason I was commenting on your posts Rev is that you seem to be one of the main posters on here who seems to be quite critical of the manager and team. That's perfectly fine, I am not criticising that. I tend to read most posts in here without commenting.
I just notice that the main difference with posters is their expectations for the club. You say You want us to get back to "where I believe we belong". And I guess that's the same for all of us. I think the reason we will always differ (and others as well) is that I think we probably are where we belong. It doesn't mean I want us to do better any less than you. It just means I can better accept drawing at home to Burnley or dips in form. I think there are things you need to have in place to be able to get above "where we belong" . I just don't believe we have them at the moment. Some of those things are having great players or a great manager, that can elevate you above your station. I don't see that we can attain these in our current situation. The other things that elevate you are stability, building on progress, giving a decent manager time to build, allowing some failure and learning from it, investing in youth etc. I don't think we have all I these either but I do think we can attain them. I do believe DF is a decent manager and doing a good job. He isn't a great manager and will Not take us up on his ability alone. I believe we can get some stability and build on our progress and learn from mistakes. But for that we have to stop making the same mistakes over and over again (i.e. Stop sacking managers). If we want to one day be able to employ a great manager we have to be able to demonstrate that we can allow them to show their potential. At the moment no decent manager would touch us. So we need to build to be able to get where we all want to be.
That's the difference between us all I guess. So it's not personal, you just appear to be the main advocate of a policy that is the polar opposite if what I would like to see the club be. But that's ok and so is disagreeing about it isn't it?
