I'll live in the future please. Once they've perfected VR. Then i'll go into a permanent smacked out state while being serviced by VR honeys. You can just stick me in the corner and hook me up to an IV.

Well I don't want some half-assed version. It needs to be immersive, and it needs to be able to fool me into thinking it's reality.

The age of exploration way back 400-500 odd years ago, or colonial times.

Alternatively I would be happy with being catapulted into a time where one can augment our capabilities more impressively. I'm talking Banks style drug glands in the brain, extra limbs, super immune systems, more senses. That sorta deal.

Unless you think the future is going to be a miserable terminator style wasteland I don't really get going backwards.

Think of it as less is more. Despite my heavy reliance on them now I wish we could get rid of most technology. Be more one with nature and that type of hippie shįt.

Nice idea in principle RtM.

I'm almost certain it'd be shltty in practice. Unless you want to go back 15000 years and be a hunter gatherer, apparently they had quite a relaxed natural time (you'll probably die because you'll have no mates )

I think exciting things happen throughout time. It just so happens a lot was discovered at that point in time. I bet it wasn't so different than a large swap meet. Bunch a crap with the rare treasure found for the lucky person.
