C'mon, JP. Push the total to at least 120.
Geez, how much that Aswin ball turned to get through Harmer's legs! Now 66/8.

looking at some of the dismissals on SSN.. very England like in how they play the spinners.. You cant sit on the back foot and defend from the crease.. not on wickets that rag square.. You gotta attack the spinners.. You may get out.. but your gonna get out definding from the crease..
Polly is putting up a stronger defence with his commentary than the batsman out there.
This will be over by around lunch tomorrow. The pitch is turning a lot.
another disgraceful pitch. Totally favouring the bowlers.
This pitch is a total disgrace.
It's basically a day 6 pitch from day 1.
I suppose it's difficult for a groundsman to prepare a sharply turning pitch and yet with a completely predictable behaviour, given the type of soil. These type of pitches take away the confidence of batsmen because batting is based on presumed behaviour of the ball from the time it leaves the bowler's hand.
Having said that, it's painful to see an accomplished batsman like Amla getting out to innocuous deliveries.
Hash and Faf have looked totally out of sorts so far in this series.
Notice that team batting third scored twice as much as the team batting second. Inference is that either India batsmen had superior skills to negotiate pitches like this, or SA bowlers weren't as skillful to exploit the pitch favouring bowlers.
South Africa's spinners are as poor as ours to be fair. The fact that i've seen Harmer and Jadeja spinning it sidewards on day one just goes to show how poor this pitch it.
I cant remember a team ever fielding 3 spinners and only 1 seamer?
Scoring 170 is hardly a great achievement for players brought up on spin bowling.
SA have been all over the place in this series but come on this is abit pathetic from India.
Kohli is terrified by their quicks.
Even Dhoni wouldnt have it turning square from day 1!
I tell you one thing.....it wasn't boring.
Hash and Faf have batted sensibly in the first session. Somewhat lucky in that edges didn't carry and the ones that carried were not taken.
Kolhi is good with his ground fielding, but drops too many catches in slips or anywhere in the close cordon.

Its the pitch again..every game its the pitch....if it doesent end in a nail biter, on the 5th day..its the pitch/.
If England are losing - its the pitch
Are you broken???...
Yeah, clearly in this case, its a terrible pitch.
As a neutral in this game I can safely say that when average bowlers like Ashwin are taking 7 wickets and poor county trundlers like Harmer and Jadeja are turning it square on day 1, it's a terrible pitch.
650 runs across 4 innings and the game being wrapped up in day 3, just goes to show how bad it is.
Anyone watched the highlights. India's appeals are embarrassing.
Aswin is a lethal bowler on home pitches.
Agree ashwin on home pitches is very good but the ball turning that much after day 1 is a disgrace. This must be the only way India can win test matches these days.
I suppose creating bouncy quick wickets is why others win??
Load of tosh
Ashwin has improved a lot since his initial period in test cricket. I don't think any team in world cricket will find it easy to face Ashwin in Indian conditions. He is imo one of the best spinners out there.
Also I think more than the pitch, the batting from teams have been very poor.
2 years ago, when England played in Mumbai that was a rank turner as well. But both teams scored decently
