When ROI were beaten by Italy in the World cup quarter final in 1990.
I was 15 and devasted
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That Romania game though
I was only 11 when we won the treble, so whilst I remember my dad being away at the game me watching it round my uncles with the family it obviously isn't the same as experiencing something like that during your later teens onward when you've been to games, or even watching at the boozer with your mates.
For that reason I was absolutely gutted being knocked out the FA cup to Portsmouth (in such a fashion also) and ending our dreams of another treble

Yes! The way Bayern bottled it as well after being a goal up in the game, having a pen in the game missed, and going 1 up in the pen shootout to begin with. God was facking with us that day!

Listening to West Ham vs United on the radio in 1995. My mum badgering me to vacuum the house and me snapping at her as Cole missed chance after chance.
We draw the game, Blackburn win the league and I have to vacuum the house straight afterwards in near tears.
as a very small child Bobby Stokes broke my heart. And it was offside.

That game against Chelsea - the Gerrard slip. The closest we've come to winning the league in my lifetime. I felt empty that day. Remember locking myself in my room and ignoring everyone

Our darkest football day?
Probably Besiktas away in the Europa last season.
Probably the lost to Liverpool in 2011 when Kuyt scored a hat-trick. That one was the worst to me, moreso than the 6-1 to City.

Shocked no one has mentioned the last day of 11/12 season
Relegation to the second division on the last day of the season in 1977.
I harbour a grudge for a long time

Arseanl's last minute goal to stop us winning the double on the last day of the season. Friday night kick off. 1st time I have ever shed a tear in a football stadium.
Off the pitch would be Hillsborough. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Haunting memory.
People putting getting fourth place
That would be relation to the championship
Closely followed by relegation to League 1
Closely followed by every day since

I have given my worst day as a ROI fan.
As a Liverpool fan it would be the loss of the title to Arsenal in 1989.
Has anyone mentioned 26 January 1963 yet?
1977 FA Cup Final
Liverpool 1-2 Man Utd.
I cried. Although winning The European Cup four days later did help a bit!
Yes, I am ancient.
You can't be ancient if you cried that day.
