To have John Terry slip for that penalty and then be robbed the following year by Tom Ovrebo was... infact words can't explain the different wave of emotions I felt in those 2 games...
I can't remember feeling so disappointed as a child as I had that level of expectation that we would probably lose most big games.. but the first game I went to we almost lost 1-0 to Oxford United but a Frank Lebouf penalty sealed a replay which we won 4-0 if I remember... but that was pretty bad.
I think because recent times we've been inline for alot of glory there seems to be more to think of.
I was in a pub full of Liverpool fans when we played awful and lost 2-0 to them in the FA Cup quite a few years back and was also stuck in traffic coming out of the millennium stadium in Cardiff for a few hours whilst they just hurled abuse at my mate and I in the car.
I hate Liverpool and their dirty fanbase

United - v West Ham final day 1995 and FA CUp Final v Arsenal 10 years later.
Wales - losing to Romania in 1993 with Paul Bodin missing that penalty.
All of the above made me feel depressed for days.
My happiest day was on 19th May 2012, which funny enough corresponds with the darkest day for Spurs

Worst: Arsenal Vs Barca in Paris - CL Final. 15 mins or so away from the European Cup.....
Best: Anfield '89

maf's darkest day was last sunday. he has hidden himself away in the cupboard which is so dark that he cannot see the handle and that's why he isn't back on ja606
Darkest day in Football was ironically on a Thursday when no-one was actually playing Football.
In September 1983 David Mears sold his shares in Stamford Bridge to Property Developers SB Properties (Marler Estates) behind Ken Bates's back meaning that potentially we could have no ground and have to share with either Crystal Palace/Fulham or QPR.
It took Bates 8 long years of a war of attrition and Legal challenges with these caants until December 1991 (When Bates bankrupted them) to get it back.
On the field at the time it was going great, but this was a huge black cloud that was hanging over the very existence of the Club.
This is the reason that Bates has put the pitch under the control of the Chelsea Pitch Owners to prevent any disreputable individuals at Board level ever selling the Club's fans down the river again.

England vs Argentina in the 98 world cup.
alot of chelsea fans might say moscow but I will never forget that night against barcelona where we matched them and for parts outplayed them and should of had atleast a couple pens, and it was asif you'd been cheated in the worst way. Something was at work that evening. The atmosphere at the end was something i've never really experienced before...no real outbursts or anger...just disbelief.
79 cup final. Alan smegging Sunderland.
