Thanks Squid...obviously ideally we want Spurs to challenge for the title but I would never begrudge so-called 'smaller' clubs like Leicester breaking the monopoly of the established elite so beloved of Sky Sports...I don't think those glory-hunting fans that have jumped on the Abramovich and the Abu Dhabi United Group bandwagons understand this concept.

This begs the question, which managers/coaches will be prepared to take on these jobs? Surely any potential candidates are aware that these posts are a poisoned chalice...unless they adopt a mercenary attitude and are prepared to just take the money and run. No offence to long-standing Man City and Chelsea fans (those that supported their teams prior to the influx of petro-dollars), but for the rest of the fans of premier league clubs, it is quite satisfying to see that money can't always buy success. Leicester's early success is very heart-warming and gives everyone hope that the spirit of football is alive and well.

Absolutely.
It's also a bonus that the man in charge happens to be a nice bloke. If he was a Mourinho-type it wouldn't quite be as heart warming.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It must be doubly satisfying for Ranieri that Chelsea's current position is so poor...after Abramovitch was looking to replace him with-Sven Goran Eriksson days after taking over in 2003...and eventually replaced him with Mourinho!
Next for the chopping block
