Spurtle, I know what you mean but I still don't think 6 wins in 15 is a true reflection considering we were the better side in most of our games this season. Anyway we will be in and around the top 4 come end of the season so let westbrom fans celebrate a draw and a good performance against us like they won the World Cup. I mean why would you come on the spurs board to gloat about arrogance when you are basically doing exactly the same thing

The only game where we have been deserving of more was the Utd match. Those who think we played Everton, Liverpool and Chelsea off the park watched different games to me.

posted on 7/12/15

Pawl, are you joking? We dominated Everton from start to finish. Arsenal we were by miles the better side bar the last 20. Sorry mate but I think you need your eyes tested

No one said Chelsea by the way.

Don, you're right it's not a true reflection. Sick of these draws now.

Need a good run going and to pick up all 3 points when we actually play well. New striker in Jan is a must!

Even WBA fans were moaning until recently about the dire football enterainment served up by Pullis & Co. and who can blame them.....14 goals scored is the joint 2nd worst and for a team that spent big on Rondon, added Lambert fromLiverpool and have a £25m rated striker on their books, you can only conclude that their game is based on defending.

Their defence is only really bettered by those seriously challenging for Europe.

So a very solid defence and a serious lack of goals, very low possession and chance creation stas......nah, of course they dont park the bus Typical Pullis

I watched the entire 90 minutes, and to be fair it was a shiiite game, fairly even, neither team deserved to win. The ref should have reduced Albion to 10 men, shocking tackle, and the linesman flagged for an offside, which clearly was not, and Nje may have scored. Albion huffed and puffed, and did what all Pullis teams do, plenty of effort, keep the ball in the air most of the match, put in some shocking tackles. Spurs were well below there best, but still earnt a point.

We played well at Arsenal but not as well as many made out, our defending from crosses that day was shocking. I remember one good Kane chance against Everton but we hardly peppered their goal.

I agree Spurs should have had more wins than draws, leading late on against Stoke 2-0, Arsenal 1-0 and Leicester 1-0, but I am not complaining. Put a few wins on the board next half a dozen games and it could be something like P21 W12 D8 L1, which will not look to shabby at all. I can see Spurs picking up lots and lots of wins in the next couple of months. No Europa to distract (Chronic will have nothing to moan about )

But Spurs created at least half a dozen good chances. The crosses were only a problem from set pieces and most came in the last 15/20 minutes, for three-quarters of that match Spurs pasted Arsenal in every department.

It works both ways Sandy. Against Swansea both of Eriksens free kicks should have been saved and don't forget we didn't get a kick against City for the opening 25 minutes. Our points total is about right.

What minute was it when Giroud put that sitter header onto the bar?

posted on 7/12/15

I thought 1-1 was fair vs Arsenal, we were better all over the pitch but the best chances all fell to Giroud.

Makes you wonder what the reaction would have been on here had Lloris not made his worldy from point blank?..

The fact it was Olsson from 3yds out, puts into doubt the 'bus parking' claim by Spurs fans.

Albion 11 shots, 4 on target.
Spurs 9 shots, 3 on target.

posted on 7/12/15

We most definitely have parked the bus this season. But on Saturday we did not. And the stats would agree with such

posted on 7/12/15

I never caught the game, but from what I gathered you didn't park the bus. Just played to your strengths, which involved infuriating our team and trying to catch us out when we over extend ourselves.

Obviously we have more quality in our team so both teams have to approach the game differently. One isn't necessarily better than the other.

Edin,

WBA are a very solid unit who are at their best when defending and frustrating the opponent, thus they will always excel when playing at home vs positive teams like Us, Arsenal, City etc. Hence a draw been about par for the course.

======================

They dont excel at home at all - if we base the table purely on home games WBA would be 3rd from bottom, ahead of just Bournemouth and Villa.

I said excel at home vs positive teams

posted on 7/12/15

We still don't. The sides who have attacked us at home (leicester, Everton, chelsea and city) have all won
The sides who have sat off and been watchful and negative we have not lost to any of them

West Brom lost at home to Leicester, Everton, Chelsea and City and have only beaten Sunderland and Arsenal at home. They have not exceled at all.

"not too bad all in all considering that we put in a seemingly rare poor display."

I really hope we don't play like Liverpool did yesterday, but I doubt we will. Just wondering who'll get on the scoresheet for us.

Someone created this article on Arsenal's board - who's better? Giroud or Ronaldo? Does it make you go or ?

perhaps if west brom tried to win a few football matches you could get a top half finish every now and again
