Tbh, this is a spoiler thread. If you don't want spoilers, I guess you shouldn't look on here from Wednesday until you watch it.

Either that or we all decide on a time we watch the finale and watch it together, like a bunch of nerdy virgins(no offence Stringer).

Pretty much this - feck it's my thread but I won't come on until I have watched

Yeh Simon, think that is the way to go about it.
So is this show better than Mando? A simple renaming to Book of Star Wars. The Boba ‘issue’ never becomes a thing.

For me, the Book of Boba has been rather a forgettable let down in the main. The Hutt twins were pointless, Christopher Santan a let down, Boba himself a weak character. The mayor an off screen villain who has done little wrong. The ninjas who attacked Boba in the first episode, what were they?
The flashbacks gave a brief interesting tale, but little more.

Episode 6 has improved it, hopefully episode 7 saves it.

Yep, basically they should have probably saved a tonne of money, made it animated, and just meshed the stories together, a little like a couple of their other shows (Marvel What if....? And Star Wars Visions - but done the same as What if and use the original cast), as basically it became filler than any sort of story arc. Very cool, nostalgic filler, but filler none the less.

That’s fair enough. So is the ‘Filler’ tag. It is strange when it comes down to the marketing of this show, and yet produce some brilliant to iconic moments, but yet looks like Boba is sidelined.
I think I have an idea of how this show ends…

So are we agreed stringer is the nerdiest virgin on here?

I have just finished watching episode 6 and it is easily the best of the season so far.

The first 20-25 minutes with Luke training Grogu and interacting with Ahsoka had me in tears. It was everything I wanted in the sequel trilogy, the lore, the classic force theme, the references, the nostalgia, it was beautiful and poetic. I have to give huge credit to the deepfake guy that Disney hired, because Luke looked as realistic as a CGI creation can and most importantly, it felt real. All the call backs to empire and Lukes time training with Yoda and Ahsoka standing next to Luke alone, was incredible. Then we had Cad Bane making an appearance, which is something I thought this show needed. Just give me a Luke show and retcon everything in the sequels please.

Know little about Cad Bane but his appearance was great, felt like a genuine star wars baddie.

Yeah, he immediately lit up the screen for me. Good to see. Kind of wish they had gone with a dark edge to Boba

Ok Guv is in… so, Cob Vanth. Or as I see him, Deputy Marshall Raylan Givens from Justified.

Cos that who he is, and it seems like he’s crossed over into Star Wars, and I love it. So just from the opening I was buzzing. But Olyphant is playing the same guy.
But had to give a shout out to him.
That whole Stand off sequence was a thing of beauty.
The Good The Bad. Once upon a time in the West beautiful.

Cad Bane was so deadly, he was able to hold his own against Jedi.

He's just great at playing that sort of character

posted on 3/2/22

I mean even seeing R2 was beautiful. I didn't want to leave the planet Luke and Grogu were on, which is unfortunate because the rest or Bobas story is now completely irrelevant to me.

Introduced a few good characters in this, just not Boba. Krisantan seems like he could be good, Cad Bane.

Dunno why they didn't just make this a bounty hunter show ultimately.

Exactly. This was a perfect bounty hunter extravaganza opportunity but they spent too much time floundering.

Also it's clear that they saved the budget for these last few episodes.
