I don't believe so.....not too sure if episode 1 changed it, but the force as far as I am aware is just part of everything - and some people can use it, but yeh if anyone knows of anything would love to read/watch
I love nerd offs!
Before the cannon got changed I would have thought that Luke was the most powerful around and could have taken Palps, as he had a lifetime of experience to draw on and while he didn't learn in traditional methods he did learn an awful lot.
Nothing to suggest that's the case from what we got in the Sequels though. Hints of a similar story from BoBF, with him trying to rebuild the Jedi but being filled with a lot of doubt.
When I think of Luke post ROTJ, I don't see anything beyond the Zahn trilogy. I don't picture an old man Luke, so who knows how powerful he was. But, the Luke in the Zahn trilogy isn't beating a prime Palpatine, in my opinion.
I know the sequels get a lot of heat but i really loved the Luke v the empire stand off in that bleeding red battle while he is still on the island. Surely that was prime luke and showed just how powerful he was by then.
Palpatine is so underrated. Forget that awful lightsaber action scene in episode 3 and instead, watch the clone wars tv show.

I would have preferred it if he was actually there in person but I consider it non canon, so It's a nice reimagining of what other powers he could have.

Sequels had some moments that could have been really iconic if they were part of a storyline that made any sense.

And that's fair, by that point Luke was still figuring a lot out, but it's also unfair to compare him to Palps who had a lifetime of experience by then in comparison.
Luke did go on to do loads after the Zahn books and as such when he came into the twilight stage of his life he'd have had plenty of knowledge and experience to draw from himself.
Following on from Tbags comment above. What were the good/great moments of the sequels?
I mentioned the one above with Lukes hologram facing the entire empire army.
I though rey and finn had some good moments early as well before that went to shat.
Anything else?
This is your 10hr warning….

Force Awakens
Kylos introduction
Falcon vs tie fighters on Jakku
Han and Chewie retaking the falcon
Han telling Rey and Finn that the force is real
Han reunites with Leia
Rey getting the flashback from touching Lukes saber
The Last Jedi
Snoke scenes up until his ridiculous death
Luke going into the falcon and seeing R2D2
Falcon vs tie fighters in the tunnels
Rey & Kylo vs Snokes guards
Luke and Leia reunite
Yes, Kylos introduction was very cool. It annoyed be that they pretty much jumped into him being seriously flawed straight after. Would have preferred it if he were a cold calculating nasty piece of work.
Snoke intrigued me as a character and he worked well as the new sith lord, until they killed him off and we found out he was just a clone made my Palpatine.
One scene that always gets me emotional is when Luke is in the falcon and R2 plays Leias message from New Hope. It always takes me back to when I first saw Star Wars.
But there’s nothing in Rise of Skywalker.
I mean, the Falcon space jumping looked great, but already questions arise.
Seeing Lando.
That’s it.
Palpatine is always great to see, but under these circumstances, they punked out another legacy character.
All that good work McDarmid did over the years… and they do that to him, out of desperation.
Idiots JJ and KK
Actually I forget, cos I’ve done my best to forget.
But respect to Antony Daniels. Yeh, he was the best thing in that film. That might’ve been his best performance since ESB I think.
Rise of skywalker is an atrocious movie.
I thought the idea of the force ghosts coming to Rey could have had potential if it wasn't such a nonsense story and they didn't include Ahsoka who I don't think was known as dead?

Have you seen Kevin Smiths story, before the film came out. Where he more or less revealed, that he was on set, invited by JJ, and he saw that end sequence being filmed with the Force ghosts.
You can read between the lines of what he’s saying, after the films come out.
Cos there’s no way, that’s what he saw being filmed.
He said he had tears in his eyes.
When I was in the cinema, I saw anger, and disgust.
But had the Force ghost sequence been there, at least, that film would’ve had a potentially iconic moment.
KK tells him to cut it, afterwards. I guess they got to pay the actors less just for their voices being used instead.
Must be awful knowing something like that was filmed then canned
Well… Overall 8/10.
Best Ep of the series so far. Easily. Still short though.
But There are still issues that stand out.
More Production issues than Story, but,
I’ll just leave it at that.. cos there’s a lot to say.

is it a real 8/10 or a stringer 8/10 cos I have seen people give some of these episodes a 6 or 7 and then say it wasnt great.
and 8/10 means its excellent, very very good. Like Mandalorian level of good is an 8/10

That’s a fair question… yeh, maybe it’s more a Stringer rating. I see certain things, gives me chills. You say yeh, Thats Star Wars.
But I am conflicted, cos of the cheapness, hurts it.
The poor direction. And I haven’t got to the story,. Which itself has proven a bit problematic.
I’d understand people giving it a lower rating than I have but I think they will still like it.

kl kl, Iv given up on it.. It would take two 9/10 episodes to really allow me to give the series pass marks. Ill watch them then moan about either the episode being rotten or the previous ones not being up to standard !!
It is what it is, ill watch it , moan, and wait for the next series ... I have watched all the episodes at least twice but I doubt I will be going back and rewatching the series when its done sadly.
