Objectively,if we talk writing,story,direction,acting, the Mandalorian far exceeds episode 1 and 2.

I personally put the prequels ahead because of nostalgia.

That Maul scene is iconic. The music too.

Hmm, I know I’m in the minority, but I still do like AotC, just take out the Anakin/Padme stuff. There’s a lot of good stuff in there.
Coruscant chase.
The whole Kamino sequence.
Boba Fetts backstory.
Slave 1 v Obi-Wan - Seismic Chargers!!
Shimi dying in Anakins arms.
Genosis end fight, (minus the the Padme/Anakin Mario World scene)
Obi-Wan Anakin v Dooku

The Clone Army initiated.

Attack of the clones has some great moments too:

But that's it Guv - we like scenes from the prequels and that's it......also having John Williams is just a cheat code with SW and music. But there is very little in the prequels but basically sabre fights...and yes podracing, the rest is quite forgettable.

Yep agreed. I can't remember the last time I watched episode 1 and 2 in their entirety. Episode 3 to a lesser extent but that's a movie I still don't rewatch often.

I watch the original trilogy from start to finish at least twice a year.

As someone alluded to earlier, the prequels have been enhanced by the clone wars tv show too. Less so episode 1 and 2 but certainly episode 3 cannot be viewed in the same manner, after watching that show. Especially season 7.

And now we have to watch the Original trilogy’s with the new context of Leia always having known Obi-Wan Kenobi.
I don’t think that’s possible.

So in ESB, Obi-Wan just forgets does he.
Yoda has to tell him ‘There is another’

Yeah something else, the three movies in full but cut with the lesser parts taken out. And all three renamed with cooler titles. I'll need to speak to the mate that told me and I'll be able to tell you more

I think FA is ok but it's not good enough to be canon.

Yeh for me it's EU over any of the prequals crap, and also doesn't have as many continuity issues as OB1, and that was like 100 authors a d video games all going at it, at once!

Yeah I can only imagine what a great place Star Wars would be in right now if we got the Thrawn/Zahn trilogy instead of what we got.

Ok they'd have had to recast Luke, Leia and Han to do it but I think the fans would have been on board with that.

Not giving us more prime Luke, Han and Leia was Disney's first mistake as that's what fans wanted. Or at least do older Luke, Leia and Han properly if they had to go down the route they did.
