Ok - I have 0 idea what's happening and we're almost half way through the season and nothing seems to have happened..........

Don't get me wrong all the episodes have been enjoyable but like wtf is going on??

I get that you hvae worries Stringer.

I dont really care about all that , I know this story wont be delving into it too much, they are just making it plausible. It may carry over into newer stuff but i think this side story will remain that at the most. If they wanna try and explain it then so be it I dont see it being a big factor in mando.

I really hope they continue this format with Mand's and Bo's story line. The longer episode gave a chance to develop characters and actually work on relationships and makes the story far more believable as a result.

And just once again .... the opening 10 mins of this episode is 11/10 and you know i dont give them scores out lightly. I think its the best work in that area that SW has EVER done. it was straight up top gun stuff, it was peak Iceman and Maverick stuff. this made pod racing look like a local speedway banger racing meet up.

Said a few weeks ago than some of you were shooting their load with what Favreau said about looking to make this last and being hyped. I was worried, they dont know what they are doing with this just now, its clear that they dont have an overall idea of where the story is going.

I really hope that they keep these longer episodes going, the difference in being able to settle into a bit of relationship building and story was refreshing.

Just gonna have to rewatch the whole episode again, ain’t ya....
I did rewatch it again last night. Now knowing obviously how the Ep was gonna play out. So I think I had a better mindset when rewatching it.
It is an interesting storyline, but I think they made the wrong editorial choice.
It just felt so random to go in this direction...

nothing less than 10. Effects are brilliant... and well, Bo Katans line sent chills down me.

And you know what I can’t believe? I thought we put it all behind us. Just when we thought we were out, we get pulled back in. Damn you Pun!

its the best they have ever done it chief.

truly outstanding clarity in the shots, the choreography was just a different league.

hands down the best cut quality scene of its type and given how much SW have done this sorta thing thats saying something.

like I said it was straight outta Maverick.

I liked that .... i prefer a bit of actual story, some decent writing. the sets were superb, and the pacing made sense to story. far too much of the Mando story is rushed far far too much it was getting a bit too look at the shiny shiny if anything. This actually had some depth to it.

My only worry is they go back to the same pacing with Bo and Mando.

I hope with favreau saying they dont know where it is going long term he means that we will do the mandalore story line and then Mando goes back to being the roaming space cowboy.

Well... ah man we’d have to get into spoilers to really chat about this Ep.. so I’ll hold off.
In terms of long term story with Mando, I’m wondering where they are during the sequel era.
No reference made to Mandalorians at all...

So there is a little doubt in my mind if there is an actual rising of Mandalore.
But Favreau has hinted at least 8 seasons of Mandalorian, and this is the 3rd.

I think we it will overlap into the Sequels.

Or just overwrite the sequels completely <fingerscrossed>

id take the actually character development and proper structure to writing than just bang bang.

I dont get the complaints most episodes are about 35 mins long and usually half action half story.

in this 55min episode we got the same amount of action as a 35min episode only twice as much story and decent dialogue.

Episode 1 was just total this is grogu, this is mando, this the droid, cara isnt here no more, queue the dumbest moment in all of mando with the droid. the end.

are people genuinely saying they preferred that over this ?

an episode that IMO had the greatest sequence SW has ever done in that field. followed by a side story, where we got far more in depth info on the character the motives and what is happening outwith the mandos in a wider scale of the galaxy, then ended with the perfect segway to the next few episodes of mando and Bo?

really?

i just dont understand, this episode in terms of breaking it down critically was miles ahead of the other two. better written, better action scenes, better written story better acting. it actually had the time to actually pace the side story and it makes sense.

I did find that a bit funny... why did I love Andors style of storytelling, and then you see it here, and I’m all fussy about it.

Some of this storyline is clearly building up towards the events of the sequels...

and also bring back bloody gina carano ..... what she said wasnt that bad and the dust has well and truly settled.
