Call me crazy but why can't we build Thrawns character long before they cross paths?

No need to keep suggesting Thrawn but not seeing him, it isn't like some shocking reveal, can't we just build his character from the start ffs.

tough one, for those that have seen rebels you dont need a special reveal.

for those who havent it will have more impact, with only 8 eps I think its more likely they will do an end of season reveal.

I think we won't see much of Ezra or Thrawn in season 1.

I don't think they need a build up. This follows on from Rebels, so I would like them to hit the ground running. I suspect you are correct on the Thrawn front but with 8 episodes in season 1, I think they need more than just a few dark side users to keep the stort going.

I disagree.

I most people that watch it, will have seen Rebels and those that haven't, might watch the premiere and decide to stop watching.

Unlike Mandalorian,Obi wan or Andor, I believe Ahsoka will be heavily relient on stories and character development that took place in Rebels.

you guys on here are the only people I know that have seen it tbh.

And Im a fairly big fan and havent seen any of them.

A lot of people have a thing about not being into animation. I have loads of mates that dont even watch Pixar films for that very reason.

I know plenty of folk that watched Mando and dont even know about Rebels

That's my point about Ahsoka, it's a show that will probably require you to have watched CW and more so Rebels.

Shows like Mandalorian,Boba,Andor and Obi Wan, do not require previous viewing, aside from the movies.

It’ll be written in a way, where there’s loads of exposition.

Yes there will be Easter eggs for loyal Rebels fans, but maybe not as many as you’d think. They want new viewers, and so they can’t alienate them..

Easter egg here and there should shut up the fanboys like me, well that’s been Disneys approach.

I think that is key. The show has to be high quality, irrespective of the easter eggs or references. We can't have Leia being chased type of scenes.

And my point is that its a bad thing... its never good when your relied to watch something else in order for another one to make sense. I have no problem with having similar reference to each other but for points in one show to make sense by watching another is a complete no no for me and a massive mistake.

easter egss and nods are all fine but to have actual plot driven stuff or character driven stuff on a completely different show is wrong IMO.

yeah Iv seen some CW but gave up having to jump from episode to episode to make it chronological, but havent seen any of Rebels.

It’s only 4 seasons… 20 odd mins per ep.
Highly addictive.

But the fact we seem to be seeing Hayden as Ani again suggests that everything we need will be in the show - and honestly, no show unless it's a direct sequel should be essential watching unless you are looking for background from easter eggs

its not for everyone however. some people just dont like animation stuff Im not one of them but I can certainly get why.

there is no way they should be making another show necessary viewing regardless of how good it is , how easy it is to watch or how long it lasts.

its a big no no for me that one
