What? So a month ago I read that Ridley was saying there'll be a very concrete update on her new standalone movie.

Then last week I read that movie was cancelled.

Was it cancelled cos they're making another trilogy? Was that the update?

Fam.. I don’t have a clue what’s going on.
At this point they just throwing the shiiiit at the fan, hoping something sticks.
So the release date of this new Star Wars film, has been replaced. So maybe it’s not totally cancelled but wait for a new date…
Seems lessons haven’t been learnt by just telling us aboot the release date, but they don’t have anything in place. It’s just backwards planning… really don’t understand how it’s become so chaotic.

Spielberg vowed after Jaws, he aint messing up like that again.. everything he’s done since, On time On Budget.

Supposedly they did test screenings which were poorly received. So I imagine they're trying to fix it up, although reshoots are generally normal.

So the Rey movie lost its writer a few weeks ago and was considered likely to be delayed. Didn't hear anything aboot that until now.

Yeah it's really frustrating. I read they just announce stuff so their stock price goes up and apparently they get no real downside to this?
