It's mind boggling!

I would have given a second season a watch tbf. The pacing was off, the flashback episodes were a huge mistake and some of the character writing was really bad but it had some interesting ideas and some fun episodes.

Pretty easy to rectify most of the bad stuff and concentrate on the good & there's plenty of shows that find their feet after a bad first season.

Not hugely bothered though.

Shame because the actual premise of the show could’ve been great but the writing was substandard

There were some interesting ideas to be fair. Shame it got lost amongst all the rubbish. I'd like to see more Qimir somewhere down the road.

So now what… I know this show was being trolled to get a 2nd season, just so people could rip it apart.
The show had defo potential, but still, it was Lucasfilm that said, this is a show from the view of the Sith.
Was it really?
And how it all played out was just boring as… but as been said, there’s been many a show with dodgy first seasons… and suddenly they hit their stride 2nd/3rd season..

Now, I don’t know where I’m at… can we just dismiss this show? They’ve changed how we view the Force.. now a Thread.
I mean, the word Sith was uttered once in the whole show. Kennedy…. Why ain’t you gone. 12 years at the helm. Move fam, just move…

Yeah I liked some aspects of the show but there was so much dross around the good ideas/moments.

I think they could have done something interesting going forward with the foundations that were laid, so long as it didn't revolve around the twins. But whether or not I'd trust them to make the obvious changes? Probably not.

Dooku did something similar in the Clone Wars…The rule of 2 and all that.
And suddenly the show has promise… with a good lead.

It was a badly made show all in all but the fanbase goes beyond critical at times and becomes toxic. I read that Boba won't be involved in the Mando story anymore because his character was received so badly during BOBF, which is a shame cos he was awesome in Mando.

Obviously execs making the decisions are idiots but a lot of fans go over the top with their rage.

Yeah definitely toxic. There's that common saying, no-one hates Star Wars more than Star Wars fans.

Show was bad though and it's criminal they spent so much on it.

Yeah it's crazy they spent so much on it considering how cheap some episodes looked.

Agree - had a great premise. And a couple of good characters. But when you have a DEI activist for a showrunner and lead actor, and forget to hire actual writers who know the subject matter.

Don't really have any issue with DEI activists and I do actually feel the writers were more careful with the subject matter for the most part than say Kenobi writers were. They were just really bad at writing characters that made any sense or that you cared about.

Its a massive problem when DEI activism is what the showrunner and lead actor were talking about constantly and forcing it into the story when has never been necessary in SW before? And when were the writers careful, was it when they completely destroyed Ankin being the special one? Or when they made major characters in Ep1 totally forget any of this happened just in the hope it would get a second season? Or just how about when they completely forgot to write a coherent plot? Ob1 was dogsheet, but was Shakespeare in comparison to this mess

What we got… Mando & Grogu movie doing what, just an adventure stand alone?
Ahsoka is leading to Thrawn battle.
Andor is its own thing, we know how that ends.
Skeleton Crew could be fun especially for the young’uns..

But it’s just kinda a mess, cos of all the other shows.
Even DC got their house in order, and now there’s a clear vision.
Marvel just blatantly said to the world, we hitting reset.
It was getting out of hand real fast, but looks like they’ve managed to stop the bleeding…for now.

But Lucasfilm, it’s not a case of them trying to drive their way out of a Tornado.. They are the fvckihg shiiiittstorm🌪️🌧️

Mando, Ahsoka and Andor look like the lead contenders, but I am now super worried about the Mando movie.........but movie budget maybe = more Luke? If it continues more from S2 rather than 3 it could be good......it also could be Jack Black and Lizzo though.

Devastating to lose Ray like that. The man was writing himself into fan folklore. And he might’ve become even bigger… his acting was that damn good.

Yeh, don’t know which way they’ll go… I think they’ll revert back to Season 1&2. They know 3 didn’t work.
And really Mando was a side piece in his own show…
And yeh, what’s gonna happen with Bo Katan, cos her story ain’t finished.

So, really Mando, is the one leading the charge, but the one with greater potential is Ahsoka story.
I don’t like what they done with Ezra, and Thrawn is just not intimidating…
So what, he had the voice for Thrawn, I get it, he’s abit older from Rebels.. but come on…

Felt like Anakin being the chosen one got undone by the sequels already, as for him being conceived by the force it's not a horrible idea that Plageius got the idea from somewhere rather than pulling out his bum.

That said, I've only not read all the EU universe books and I'm not sure what amongst them is supposed to be canon anymore

I think they need to figure out the fight choreography for Ahsoka

I think we will see the franchise give up on standard shows in a few years. it has been a feckin mess mostly, even Mando isn't what people build it up to be.

Mando 1 and 2 are excellent - peaking at end of S2. No idea what happened to S3. Again just seems massive lack of talent in the writing department. However, as with a few of these I don't understand how they even get to production, anyone with an ounce of sense says "nope" - like they feel like school projects where no one actually checks what the others are doing but have to hand something in on deadline day.

It's crazy how badly mismanaged this billion dollar franchise is when most the stuff literally writes itself. I don't understand how they are allowed to shoot themselves in the foot over and over again.......but hey I support Chelsea so this is a daily occurrence for me.

I never actually finished it... got about half way through it, no real desire to go and finish it but prob will.
