The whole time they spent wiping Mae's memory could have been spent getting off planet lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That was just laughable. Probably would have been improved if Smilo had put on a pair of shades and just men in black'ed the f'ing scene.

Why don’t they use force speed? Think we’ve only seen it in TPM
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Probably because it was a stupid idea and heavily criticised at the time. Personally I'm glad that one was a one-hit-wonder. Best forgotten.

If I can sense you, the Jedi will too…
So WHY THE FACK HAVE THEY GOT A GOFER TRACKER THINGY

Couldn’t they just tell her to hide and they’ll come back and get her.. she does know the layout and where to hide. Cos she survived the big fire that burned down her whole house, which she started, cos she wanted to kill her sister.
All cos Osha wanted to be Jedi.

Headlands bank account - prob has some dirt about a few of the Disney CEOs from her Weinstein days......also would explain how she even had a job, cos seriously after this dumpster fire I can't see why anyone would hire her. Showed a complete ineptness at doing a job pretty much missing the mark has hard as bud light!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The questions that are left on the table?
Why box yerself in like this.
The prequels didn’t hurt Yoda... but with $180 million and 5 seconds, you Scar Yoda.
And destroy the Jedi.

I don’t mind, you telling a story of rogue Jedi.
But to make all them useless, incompetent, dislikable gits. Outrageous.

And another thing... Jedi She-Hulk says ‘I want a perimeter of the area, of aboot 5 clicks’
But check it.. Nobdoy spreads out to flank the area, they all no more than aboot 20 meters apart all walk together.
Man fack off!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

There's lots to dislike about this story and characters but I don't think it scarred Yoda at all. We have no idea what she told him. My main irritation with that scene is that it was so completely and utterly pointless. Added nothing. Absolutely nothing,.

What really boiled my p*ss was the Senator. He was a great little cameo but there's your f'ing story people! There's your background of pressure, your motivation for acting irrationally - because the very concept of an emotionless Jedi is being challenged by the Senate.

If you had the Jedi being pressured by the Senate to check their power, pressured by the need to find a killer and the fear of the rise of the darkside. We could have seen a believable depiction of the fallible Jedi.

The idea was right there and they ignored it until the last episode when it was given a couple of minutes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Totally agree, what happened with the witches could have been completely cut down to a 10 mins of flashbacks and they could have added in a lot more of that and then you'd have had a lot of different self-interested motivations coming together at the end and making sense.

Osha and Mae I think you can justify their changing mindsets to some degree but Osha's power at the end made no sense and Mae just wasn't even really intriguing or likeable.

I also now realize Stringer already mentioned the perimeter thing

So Showrunner for the Acolyte has apparently done a big interview with collider.
She says. The fight in Ep 8 is better than anything in Phantom Menace and The Matrix.

Hmm.. now I will say this, that Saber fight was really good. Except for the crouching tiger moment, don’t think that worked so much.
But overall both actors gave it some.... shame it was wasted on in this show.

But TPM and Matrix??! Better?!
To be fair, it’s not the worst take I’ve ever heard. It was done well, to a point. But for me, doesn’t come close to Matrix or TPM.

My advice don't listen to anything that woman says. Been seeing lots of stuff and she is one of the most deluded people I have ever heard, and you need to understand how impressive that is, as we have all needed to put up with Arsenal fans on this board

And let's deal with the elephant in the room, it's potentially not even the best sabre duel in the Acolyte (no this isn't praise) let alone anywhere near to TPM. Will give them better than the throne room, but was still a massively mid sabre duel that was outdone by the likes of Ob1 and Rebels easily. Maybe if we even cared a little about the characters the odds would have felt bigger but the sheet happening either side makes it feel fault.........and yes random hiding tiger in the middle was awful.

I think the choreography was really good and it had moments of stuff that we hadn't seen before that landed really well, but the flow and the stakes mean they fall short of TPM probably.

I wouldn't really count Rebels cos it's probably easier to animate, although I realize they did have people in for the Maul vs Ahsoka duel.

posted on 19/7/24

Not easier to animate.....to be honest, its the same process with slightly different caveats. So yes most the animated stuff should be counted as the choreography and actors are doing the same job in the same space, and it's SW so why should it be discounted?

On the money there.. I was totally checked out.
Stakes didn’t feel earned. And the sisters flip flopping all over the place, did my head in.
So I think I’m gonna have to rewatch…

But that conversation needs to be had… where does the Saber fight rank in all Live action only SW.
might be a few surprises.

Didn’t know they got real people in for Maul v Ahsoka?!
So why is the care and attention on that, but careless on this.
Did anyone like the show? Do you know anybody that rates it?

Just seems like it would be easier to do because you don't really have to tow the line of making things look realistic, but I obviously don't know the process

Yeh I tend to separate Ani from Live action.
To be fair, and I didn’t really think aboot it, just took it for granted aboot how they film stuff for animation.

Didn’t know they used real people…. So, Chancellor West does have a point.
But I’d still separate…

I knew they did for Maul vs Ahsoka in the last season but I didn't think that was the norm. Maybe they just made a big deal of showing the people behind the animation for that one cos Ray Park returned, but I just figured it was cos it was to show how much went into that fight compared to others.

Sam Witwer is green-screened ALOT for SW sheet. Games, Animated series etc. Think he may have the most "on screen" time of any SW actor

posted on 19/7/24

And unlike some people.......actually knows Star Wars. You should look up some of his interviews. Thats what you want from someone working on SW, not this sheet we have had to put up with for the last few months
