I do see a lot of people praising the Sol actor but I think any interest comes down to the ideologies of the character rather than the actor. It's admirable he learnt English in 6 months for the role but it defo detracts from the performance.

I'm not defending it, I'm just saying it's around the level of some of the other shiiiiit they've done but it's getting absolutely crucified while people were kinder to the other rubbish.

Cant agree with that dude - sorry
First couple of episodes were ok, and had somewhere to go. It wasn't bad, it wasn't good it was ok. Since then its been in decline, and not just a little. Scripts weren't good in the others - go back and watch ep 7 again (yes you need punishment) and tell me where the script and/or acting isn't horrendously bad, Ill wait. And I am not even nitpicking. Look at Jedi Squid games - passable acting to so bad in 1 episode. Dumb doesn't even cover it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not seeing the deterioration tbh Simon.
I genuinely enjoyed 2/7 episodes - both of them with Qimir. The action one was spoilt by idiocy and episode 6 was slow paced but I liked seeing a bit more about the bad guy. But I wouldn’t rate either of them above 7/10.
As for the other 5 episodes, they’re all about 4 or 5/10 for me. They’ve all been a disappointment but I don’t see episode 7 as necessarily worse than episode 3. I think people’s patience with the series has just gone. The benefit of the doubt offered in the first half of the series just isn’t there now.
I do think the Qimir character has been horribly under-used. Perhaps they assumed there’d be a second series for him to take the spotlight but the audience reaction has been so poor I can’t see a S2 happening.
What was the actual point of that episode?

Honestly, I am down to money laundering now, as that was just Ep3 with a bad lightsabre fight in it, we are also down to 1 episode left and a billion questions, and I am still working out what the Jedi alledgy done?!? Like I can understand why Mae is p1$$ed, she was a kid etc. But honestly whats Sol been so worried about and why did blondie kill himself - honestly story is so bad

This was my question for spoiler chat.. it literally hasn't answered what they've done that's so terrible. Unless that crime was Sol and blondie not being female or something.
Could have just combined this episode with the earlier one and had something interesting happen.

I will play devils advocate…
(Cough)… The Jedi were revealed to be stupid and bad.
The conspired to keep a dirty secret.
Jedi Sol, killed the mother in front of Mae.
Jedi Trinity killed all the other witches.
Padwan was a whiney a hole, who blames himself for the whole event occurring.
And Jedi Wookie…. He’s just there.
Osha now bad will try to kill Jedi Sol.
Mae will try to protect him. And suddenly we have the battle of the Twins!! One will die!
It’s going to be epic. Cue RnB music..
And Jedi Wookie…. He’s just there.
------
Funny cause it's 100% accurate lol
One of the highlights of this show has been seeing Osha turn to the dark side after that half of an episode. Organic character development at its best.
Has been a severe waste of a Jedi Wookie. Was hoping to see him absolutely haul ass

About the metal detector, from reddit
"We are missing the brave messaging/imagery here folks: a Wookie is overcoming the “walking carpet” stereotype by exquisitely using a vacuum like object in tall grass thus subverting said stereotypes.
This show redefines courageous storytelling and breaking barriers."
"He's a Jedi. Just give him a "detect chit" Force power."
"They can't do that. A chit detector would lead him directly to the writer's room."

The prevailing theory is that I have to rewatch Ep 7.
And this time really pay attention as I might’ve missed important info, while I was cussing a bad word…
I’m a fair man… and they could have a point.
Do they have a point? Maybe we missed something.

I don't actually hate the series. I don't care enough about any of the characters or the storyline to hate it.
It's a huge missed opportunity but we seem to say that a lot. With a couple of very notable exceptions, the live action series are a catalogue of missed opportunities.

Yeah same here, I'll watch along incase we get another episode of Smilo Ren doing mad shiiiiit but it's just a couple of good but badly executed ideas amongst a sea of nothingness.
Seems to be like this more often than not for live action stuff now.
Ok so, gotta get out of the habit of trying to save the show by predicting what could be up ahead. It’s cos the eps are boring, and going at a snails pace.
We don’t care aboot the characters. The eps are not memorable for the right reasons, but there I am, trying to save the show. But this could happen and this could happen.
Nah,, of course it won’t happen. This is it.
And it’s not gonna end end, cos they think they getting a season 2.
One of the Twins die. Squid game guy dies. Jedi SHulk dies. Smilo Ren lives..
Yoda appears and wipes Mundis mind.
Yes, that’s the twist, Yoda knew all along….
Now, if that all happens, it might, save the show…
Feel like saving the show has been a theme with a lot of live action stuff.
I'm always giving them the benefit of the doubt with the stuff that retcons existing lore or doesn't make any sense, assuming they know what they're doing with such a widely popular franchise to at least make a coherent story, but they seem to completely mess it up half the time.
