i hope so aswell busy, i want him to prove me wrong
I think this is the most in form Rooney has been going into a game at Anfield, his record there is still poor. 1 goal in 10 games
I actually was in Peterborough United at some place with sky showing that game and Rooney arrowed a shot from range that game went through the keeper and we won 0-1.
I mean in Peterborough not united
Schmikes talked a bit of rubbish re: herrera though. All he does is pass sideways and slow our play down apparently.

Fellaini was awful last season at anfield

Fellaini dominated us last season. We knew going into the game United were gonna arrow long balls at him but we couldn't stop it. Hopefully we have a plan this time, with Can being on him my preference.
Herrera loves forward through ball passes but had a stinker against Newcastle United where most where intercepted.

Bad as he's been, I think he could still get the 20 goals I promised at the start of the season.

Agree. I understand Fellaini shouldn't be starting today. But he was one of our 3 best players that day. Annihilated Can. Created so much space for Mata and Herrera.

He speaks sense in regards to the clubs values. Stick by them, don't sack managers and keep the general principles under Sir Alex, eventually the right man will come in and be a success.

This should be the team today. Anyone disagree?
DDG
Darmian Smalling McNair Blind
Morgan Herrera
Young Rooney Depay
Martial
Hopefully the next manager sees common sense and plays a team like that.

He did have some good spells last season though, he hasn't so far this season, he's been dreadful throughout.
Hopefully he can step up today, he does have some good attributes.
McNair has been out of form
Herrera is a funny one for me if I am honest. He is like forlan in a way. Ie want him to do really well but I personally can see why hr isn't trusted at times
The Henderson/Can midfield pairing looks promising so I wonder how they'll do today. They destroyed Arsenal in midweek so we need to be careful.

Personally, I don't like Herrera in the deeper role, for all his effort and ability he is still weak and positions himself poorly.
Without Carrick or Schweinsteiger we don't really have the midfield for the possession game, so I really hope we've worked on the counter attacking side of things this week.
