Using Borini as a barometer is flawed logic, but as we all know you're obsessed with him, so the comparison is to be expected.

Borini did indeed dig his heels in (which is generally not the norm when a manager, club and an entire fanbase wants a player out) but despite this was still loaned out and eventually sold

I still expect us to bring in a new keeper soon enough, probably a new GK coach as well.

Meanwhile we will have Mignolet as competition /cover. Or perhaps he will be sold for a greater amount rather than letting his contract run down and sold for a pittance.

Who was the other Italian guy who also dug his heels in Aqualaini(sp?)

Easier said than done to sell a player, hell, Kone, Gibson etc all need to be shown the door but we are stuck with them and like Mingolet....they are not good enough.

Borini would as you point out be better use as a barometer
