Thankfully I haven't no.

However it's all relative. That season you weren't expected to do much were you?

Us finishing 7th under Moyes as reigning champions is about the same. It's relative.

It is if you are talking about the results. That wasn't the be all and end all for me though, it was he mind numbing tedium of that season.

For all of Moyes faults and some of the football, it was still interesting. Our relegation seasons were interesting.

The Pearce one was not.

On this argument in general, I'd say two points. The first is that any stadium should have a few empty seats really as otherwise, there are fans that want to go that can't get tickets so it isn't maximising revenue. From a fan perspective, I'd take being able to buy tickets any day over not being able to clearly (although our league games have sold out far more often than not).

Secondly, I have never understood why size of fan base can be used as either a good thing or an insult. Whether 20000 people or 200000 people support city, it doesn't change my own personal experience or support.

I just find it odd.

I think it was somewhat in response to the claim that equally odd claim that everyone from Manchester was a City fan.

Some City fans were of course happy to repeat that which responding in questions regarding attendance given City had such a large local fanbase.

Both are pretty petty but are apparently banter which both sides are guilty off.

Only now that the empty seat banter has been exposed as hypocrisy.

All the massive United fans who go in the pub at the top of my road will have a chance of seats for this game.

The excuse of "You can't get hold of tickets" doesn't really apply here.

Well not really, City have a far smaller stadium than United and cheaper prices, if you were getting some empty seats in a 500,000 stadium nothing would have been said.

But claiming the entire locality whilst struggling to fill out a smaller stadium at times is.... a bit odd really. Banter I guess... Chickens indeed.

I realise English has never been a strong point but I am not sure what half of what you said has to do with being a big club...

I can imagine the fans of say Real or Barca being just as 'spoilt' or 'justifiably showing their anger' (depending on your pov) as United fans.
