United fans have mocked city for empty seats.

United fans say they are the biggest club in the world and city are small.

You now have a situation where your club is closing part of the ground because you can't sell tickets for a European game.

You have a compulsory ticket scheme for European matches.

You seem to be having trouble understanding why we would find this hillarious and be mocking you.

I just pointed out the insult itself originated from one from City fans themselves.

The city is ours, the statement itself being an extension of the whole all the locals support City, leading to an insult back about regarding empty seats (considering the City is yours)
