qpr is so clearly a small club, i feel embarrassed for your Tflop. how can one person be so blinded and deluded.
completely blinkered.
i am still waiting for any evidence whatsoever that you are a big club…. please lay out your argument.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For the last 50 years despite mismanagement we are still in and around the top flight. We have had quite a few years at the top of the premier league/first division in that period. We are a famous and recognisable club. The media are always interested in us because we are a big club. We aren't a cup side hence why we havent won many trophies. We got screwed in the 90s due to the european ban to not get in europe. We were the top london club in 1995 (?) I think. Even at a massive low point currently we are still mid table in the second tier. Which isnt terrible.
I am not saying we are a HUGE club. How hard is that to grasp. I am saying we are a fairly big club though, and I stand by that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ok. do you have an argument that has some weight?
the above contribution is pitiful.
famous and recognisable clubffs
so to conclude you have been shiiit for 50 years apart from the occasional spell in the top flight. but you have been unable to establish yourselves as a top flight club as you succumb to the gravity of the lower leagues.
1 trophy in 130 years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mate I am going to try and find some stats for average league position since the early 60s and I bet we are in the top 20 english clubs. I bet our average league position is in the top 20-25. Then will you admit we are a big club?

no. big clubs don't win 1 trophy in 130 years
case closed.
So you are shifting the goal posts again mate. You said we are a lower league club. What if our average position in the last 55 years is 19th in england? Then surely you will admit we are big time players
so a top flight relegation club then

Lets see shall we. I will do some research and find the average league position of qpr in that peroid. And I will let you know. Say we were top 20 then you have to admit we are a decent sized club right? And that there is not 20 bigger

one trophy… and the least prestigious of the lot.
i don't think i have met a more deluded football fan. maf doesn't count as he is disabled

22nd and ahead of stoke then. So we are bigger than them

There, you don't even make top flight, 22nd.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Qpr in 22nd. Palace in 27th. i rest my case. Charlton, fulham and watford also below us. We are the 5th in london. I am proved correct mate

I think this is a good general guide. Lets look at the fact we are the same amount ahead of charlton as spurs are ahead of ipswich. I think that says alot to the people claiming they were similar size to us....
As for chelsea and spurs. ignoring roman you are a bigger club. But roman is there so thats that
But why ignore Roman? He is there and as a result it's catapulted Chelsea into the elite.
They may not have the history of some of the other top clubs in Europe but they're one of Europe's elite clubs.

I agree. But that is a bit of an extreme case surely....

Ace face that doesnt matter at all. Last 50 years is much fairer as we have just been mismanaged.
Yeah but it is what it is.
Don't think you can use mismanagement as an excuse. What is achieved on the pitch tends to be what defines a club.

I dont disagree mate. But at the end of the day the average size of the top flight in the last 50 years was probably 22 teams and we are 22nd. So we are "on average" a top flight team. Which surely makes us a big club mate

Yep Ipswich have had highs that a club like QPR can only dream of.
TBlock, guess we define big clubs differently. I'm looking at the full scope and not just basing it on their average points total in England. I also take clubs outside of Europe into account.
For that reason I consider QPR a small club.
