I'd rather cut off my own arm and beat myself with the soggy bit.
I'd take him like a shot. Excellent record at this level
And he is no more obnoxious than Clough was.
Funny how whenever Fergie or Mourinho acted in a similar way it was called "mind games"
Pearson is a bit mad, but his record for Leicester is a good one.
Rowett would be a massive hit with the fans. And he still lives in Derby.
Forget his off the pitch antics, he creates something that is invaluable in this day and age and that is team spirit. a lot of what we're doing at the moment his down to him.
He will get you promoted with a full season.
What are you on about, no more obnoxious than Clough was. Peasron is a psycho in the true sense of the word. I never saw Clough, Mourinho or Ferguson with their hands round an opposition player's throat. His unstable character is the reason why no one has snapped him up as their manager despite him having a decent record.
No, Mourinho did something worse and poked someone in the eye, but lets just forget about that shall we?
Clough the elder, and he was drunk, and they were Forest fans so it didn't count. Chris was on about Clough the younger.
I wish people would stop slagging off Nigel Clough who did a brilliant job with Derby. When he left the team was much better than when he arrived. Can we say this for Steve? And we certainly can't say it for PC who has ruined the team, the team spirit and the fans spirit.
The Clough who punched 2 idiots was Mr Clough senior who certainly left the club with a better team and happy fans.
P.S. I hope the Foxes win the league chesham, good luck in the run in.
I was referring to the 'Ostrich' comment and general obnoxiousness with the media and comparing that to junior who I couldn't stand.
I'd forgotten about the 'incident' with the opposition player!
It's a fair point about Clough senior though. And isn't Pardew still in a job despite headbutting a player and calling Pellegrini a 'see you next tuesday' for no apparent reason?
Nigel did no wrong at Burton
He also did no wrong at Derby
Nor did he do any harm at the Blades, in fact they had their best season for years
It was madness to sack him in the first place , and we could certainly do worse than have him back no matter how you call him
Sorry Uncle Tom. I think you're wrong.
It was not 'madness to sack him.' NC had taken Derby as far as he could.
I have no doubt what so ever that to even consider re- employing him or the awful Billy Davies, would be a massive backward step.
Not that I think he'd come back, as that bridge has been burned, but if we as a club are going to insist on having a director of football / upstairs recruitment type set up, in hindsight we could do worse than him, Connor Sammon excepted.
Then leave the coaching and tactics to someone with a bit more insight
He had taken as far as he could with very little money. if any, had to offload all the crap that so so called
managers brought In, and the results were never as bad as the crap that's been going on now
He went 8 games without a win a few months before RIGHTFULLY getting the sack.
8 is a worse run than 7 if you need it spelling out
This is good! the rest of the season is starting to look very exciting!
Are you still expecting to finish in the play offs?
Can you manage to take a point off of us in a few weeks time?
Just imagine Mel storming into Pearson's dressing room?
Go on, I dare you! would candy crush man survive the experience of being strangled by his own manager!
Fantastic!
Uncle Tom, you obviously didn't witness what I did under Nigel Clough. But I do accept he did a reasonable job in the circumstances. He would never have been trusted with anything like the transfer pot Clement had.
Chairman Mel must have a few names in his little red book.

Nigel Pearson has been our manager twice now. Each time, he has assembled a team who fought for each other and the fans, a team that I loved and one that ran away with the league it was in, bringing joy back to the hearts of tired and disdainful fans. Each time he kept us in the division above, building the club and the team for the future.
But on the other hand he called a journalist an ostrich. Your call.
Why don't you ask for him back then Dungeon Master?
