Explain how following Moyes 7th place finish was a bad thing for LVG please blabla.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't think van gaal would have preferred to take over a squad with a winning mentality and smattered with leaders that Fergie left as opposed to the alienated mess that moyes left behind

The thing that frustrates many on here about LvG is that it had gone exactly how some knew it would.

Strict philosophy enforced. The manager falling out with players (ADM, Valdes,Herrera) and ultimately, failure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

adm is terrible

i called it after game number 5 i think it was and everyone game me stick for it

has he fallen out with herrera?

Low expectations following 7th place finish
Almost unlimited resources
Carte blanche with the existing squad

Oh what a tough job he took on.

RDD

Valencia when playing RB doesn't understand the offside rule. It is why he is often guilty of playing attackers on side.

Similarly, Hernandez keeps being pulled up for being offside because he doesn't understand how to time his runs.

None of this is news. Not sure how you can think it is wumming. You can't argue against it either.

or

an ageing squad, a bloated squad of rubbish players, pressure of finishing top 4 due to adidas deal. not to mention lack of champions league might have impacted on some targets we may have wanted.

maybe we missed out on someone because we couldnt justify it due to less money forecasts from lack of CL footie. we have money but there is a limit surely

the squad was a mess. the fact that lvg got rid of around 20 players says a lot. and pretty much all of them had to go.

just a shame we didnt sign 1 or 2 more players in the summer. couldve made all the difference this season

VC - I think you will find valencias problem is he isn't Automatically defensively minded hence his problem with positioning. That doesn't mean he doesn't understand an integral rule of the game.

And re Hernandz, you said yourself his problem is timing, not the fact he doesn't know how he is breaking the rules.

Oh dear.

Regarding this mysterious winning mentality destroyed...

Jose also left the champions in a bad position in the table and would surely have had some of these supposed winning mentality destruction issues but Hiddink came in and they've lost one game since December.

How is it that Hiddink did it so quickly and lVG was supposedly handicapped by this mysterious 'destroyed winning mentality'?

'Pretty much all of them had to go'

Players that are the backbone of lvgs squad when all fit..

Ddg, smalling, Jones, Carrick, Valencia, young, fellaini, mata, Rooney.

Yep, they all had to go. In fact all 9 of those players were a big part in getting him top 4 last season. Damn that Moyes guy for leaving such a bad squad.

Heisenberg

The target was top 4 rather than ta title win because of. Moyes 7th place.

Yes the squad was bloated but they were SAF players. LVG would still have had to get rid had he took over when Moyes did.

We got ADM despite champions league. And look how unknowns like Mahrez, Ali and Vardy are doing. Surely we could have got them

jose lost the dressing room, different situation

which clearly lvg hasn't - despite you thinking so

the players did not care about maureen and did not play for him

its been said here too - luck with injuries and a couple of attackers and we'd be scoring more and conceeding less.

but of course - this line of thinking is not allowed on this thread, it will be shot down in flames.

lvg is the worst human being on the planet, end of.

LVG seems like a nice enough guy. But anyone still wanting him as united manager is mental and should seek urgent medical help.

definetely van gaal!

and i have no problem criticising him for that. he's not perfect.

but he put his faith in rooney, martial and depay and it went all wrong.

he is not immune from criticism

Rooney loves LVG more than Terry loves Jose - yeah right mate.

So a ridiculous injury list (2nd year on the bounce) and LVG are to blame.

Thank you.

It is just their opinion though Robb. Nothing worth getting excited over.

All your faults with LVG are the same with Jose. You always seem to ignore that.
