If you mean do I wish we'd had him in place of Torres, Ba and Eto'o - then yes in a heart beat!
I felt it was a mistake loaning him to you the season before as well!
You know my view on this Brummie. I'm not bothered at all as we have Costa now who is a very good striker. It's the midfield and defence that needs sorting.
I think that Lukaku was ably assisted by some god awful defending Brummy !

You know my view on this Brummie. I'm not bothered at all as we have Costa now who is a very good striker. It's the midfield and defence that needs sorting.

As far as I'm concerned Costa should never pull a Chelsea shirt on again - he's becoming a constant embarrassment to the club.
The standard of the P/L this season is very poor all round Brummy.
Costa is a chelsea hero brummiebro. He fights with everything he has every time.
Yeah he gets me plssed as well Brummie But is still a very good striker.
harle, he's consistently scored goals away from Chelsea - even at West Brom.
I don't understand why people keep trying to justify his sale and find excuses for all the goals he's scored when it was a plain as the nose on your face that the three clowns that Jose was to play in front of him were nothing short of a joke!

Sometimes there s no need for him to get involved the way he does,
Look at him the past few games jus concentrated of his football and the goals were flowing, today he gets caught that happens, available imo

Being a die hard Chelsea fan, if I'd been in his shoes I'd never leave Stamford Bridge - but I think if I couldn't get a game in front of Torres, Ba and Eto'o I'd have put a gun in my mouth, blown my head off and left a suicide note asking to have my ashes scattered in the goalmouth by The Shed!

Bit it wasn't that season that we sold him. I agree with the loan.
But the sale? He wanted to be sold.
I think if he ever leaves Everton for another "Dream Club" he'd fold under the pressure.....
I don't expect you to agree with me but i won't change my opinion on that unless the player proved me wrong.
As for tonight i can see 2 silver linings.
1) There's going to be no papering over the cracks this season.
2) Only Guus can do this one, for the 1st time under Roman the club are pretty much free to experiment.
Lukaku is better than Torres, Ba and Eto'o and maybe even Costa but he's still not good enough for what Chelsea are/were aspiring to. Just because we're currently schit doesn't mean every player we've binned is all of a sudden good enough for an aspiring PL champion and CL contender. Lukaku is at his level doing well. Good for him.
