When I think of our youth products, I think of players like RLC, Baker, Swift, or Solanke, ie players that have actually come through the youth system and not bought as 18/19 year olds from other clubs!

Taore ?

Sorry, what about Traore ?
We can't really claim Traore of Kenedy as academy products really can we.
I get what you mean. But, Traore joined our academy when he was 16 years of age and has really been developed in our academy.
What's your criteria that these players have to meet in order to be considered as youth product ?
I personally think that those that have come through the academy as schoolboys, some from the age of 8, are what I would consider homegrown.
Traore for example was schooled in the French league (Auxerre I think) and we've basically picked him up and worked on him from there!
Obviously that's only my POV.
As crap as we are i'm glad we didn't go chasing Wigan for Kone**
This guy's quite cute, bless him
