McClaren to quit

I'm starting to think that Nigel Doughty runs Forest primarily as an instrument of Tax avoidance [ not tax evasion, that's illegal] the money he has invested is sheltered from tax. The interest on his loans not drawn, hence no tax due. I'm sure as an astute finiancier that all monies channelled into Nottm For FC are done in the most tax efficient manner possible.

When he sells he will take back his loans and interest, possibly at a time when the taxation due can be offset against losses else where.

As football fans we are definitely not seeing the full picture!

I've just posted this on another forum. Probably a good thing if he does. Not the right man for the job and could mean the beginning of the end of the Doughty reign of mismanagement?

If he does quit - it'll be the best thing to happen. I just hope ND and MA follow suit

JLS,
So who is the new s##t hot manager and Billionaire owners who are waiting in the wings then?

Cheers - oh dear. Not all rosy down the CG as some would believe

Albert

His name is Billy Davies pal - he's a sheet hot manager. And with regards to the owners - anyone would be better than the two I mentioned. Clueless. The pair of them.

"We don't need a left back now" - utter tripe

Interesting that the author of the mirror article is John Percy a.k.a fanhouse percy on twitter perhaps?

You would presume Dejagah's collapsed transfer must be true otherwise the he'd be risking libel: Q.E.D.
On top of that offering half what Leeds/his agent wanted for Gradel could be treated as gospel.

I've got nowt against Billy and did not want to see him leave but he is not comming back lad.

Now on to these new wealthy owners who will make everything better, who are they?

I have to agree with Albert about Billy coming back. As much as I want him to come, there is no way that would happen.

Let's say Steve does quit. Who would replace him? Honestly I'm at a loss as to who it would be.

I'm not sure he can stay now (if the reports are true). As much as Billy complained he never threatened to quit as far as I remember. I imagine Mr.'s Doughty, Pleat, and Arthur are not at all pleased about McClaren talking in the press.

No matter what happens the whole fiasco is starting to make my blood boil.

There are at least 5 different papers that i have seen with the same report..
Not one of them have direct quote on the matter.
He has probably told them he is going up north to chillax and they have made it into something more due to past quotes about promises of backing.
The only thing that concerns me is that with him saying he wants more of a hand in transfers, why would he go home during the international break and loan window?

It all smells of bum.

looking through the papers in question it looks like we offered 50p for a 2 quid bag of chips again and went hungary again

I can see us being manager less when the sheep rock up in town.

Interesting to read reports we messed up a loan deal for a Wolfsburg winger who Mcclaren rated highly, also we wouldn't meet the 2 million asking price for Max Gradel.

We will find out strettea red, but I seriously doubt the story would be getting this kind of traction if there wasn't some truth to it.

Usually in a situation like this the information is coming from inside (McClaren's people) to put pressure on the other side (Doughty in this case).

He is gone and I for one don't blame him, especially if he was made promises that haven't been lived up to.

I am sorry to say, but I think we will start looking for a new manger very soon.

I thought the this was just a typical lazy journo rumour when I first heard it but it has been reported on several places now and neither the club nor McClaren are saying it's rubbish so there has to be something in it.
