I'll be there tomorrow Yankee. Making myself extremely vocal in the south stand. We all need to put aside our differences between the board, the manager and the players. We need to get behind them from the off. If we win the next 3 games and still get relegated, at least we went down fighting.

Unlike the last 3 months.

Well said zigger.
I too will be doing my bit on Saturday.
Nothing less than three wins is going to be good enough.
Considering we have only won ten all season it is unlikely but in football, well you never know.
If we beat Coventry and Crewe it is likely to be a big gate against Burton.
If we are relegated before the Burton game the KM could well be virtually empty on three sides on the last day.
Why oh why has it taken so long for DF to abandon the wing back system?

Not sure if anyone is aware but some info I've found out. Between October and Feb we are the 4th highest in the league paying agents fees £55000 in total. Can only think of Alcock who we've permanently signed, do agents get paid for bringing in loan players too?

Good work as usual NY. I am unavoidably committed tomorrow afternoon, so will again not share in the excitement of the match as it happens.

I think I said around the time we played Coventry there that they seemed overrated. This was possibly because they have a strong following with great expectations and, dare I say, are still potentially at least a “big club”, but they have faded and their away form is identical to our home form. And of course we would say that in Rovers case "form", as it is decided solely in results, is misleading.

Furthermore, in points, they are further off 6th place and the play-offs than we are from 20th and safety. So a win is more important to us yet to them only a win would carry any value; a draw would effectively be no better than a loss. So a draw is practically useless for both teams, meaning that the encounter ought at least to be competitive. This does not mean that a draw can be ruled out, but it should be a closely fought one.

My recollection, confirmed by NY above, is that we have usually done OK against them in the recent past and that they have a good natured away following, so whilst we will hope for a win at all costs and some generous slices of luck if necessary, it would be good to see a some good football and for a change, fair officiating.

Azza, there is an interesting article on the vsc site about this, see viking chat.
There are suggestions that the players who extended their contracts recently will have had agents fees involved and to remember that DF himself will have an agent who would have been involved in his negotiations with the club.
There is no mention of loan players' agents being paid for their services.
The figures quoted in the article are for the period 1st oct 2015 to 1st Feb 2016, so 4 months.
The £54,000 it indicates that we paid seems to be a very large amount.

Donaldo, interesting that you ask for fair officiating.
In the Coventry away game, six players were booked.
All six were our players !!

Some of the refs, sorry -most of the refs - i have seen this season have been really poor.
Not just against us either, they have been behind play, booked players when they shouldn't have and not booked them when they should have.
In the Wigan game for example, a Wigan player got booked for a "nothing" offence but when he committed a bad foul on McSheffrey as he was about to shoot the ref declined to book him again, probably because he realised he would have to send him off.
As for the number of penalties that should have been given, well i could go on for ages about them.
The overall standard of refereeing is getting worse.

Yeah I saw that Hound seems quite extortionate doesn't it for a league 1 club. Only Wigan Sheffield utd and Millwall are higher.
