No I don't think it would be one of the conditions of him getting the job. I think he will be given targets to achieve, and a budget, not told how he has to do it.

I have never said youth is important to United. But it is to me, and many other fans, as you must admit when you read on here.
But I doubt the Glazers or even Ed are that bothered.
I don't say, and don't think I ever have, that Jose won't play youth. I have said that I hope the next manager gives our very promising crop a fair crack of the whip.
It would be disheartening for the players and many fans if most are loaned out.

Youth players have been a huge part our history. Woodward stated LVG's trust in youth was a factor in them hiring them.
I therefore find it difficult to understand why the anti Jose brigade fail to accept that IF he got the job, he would be told that using youth is a requirement.
It seems this is just a stick they want to beat Jose with.
I not quite sure why you don't understand that Jose or anyone else would like to be told how to manage. I'm sure Jose will be able to choose the players he thinks are best suited to the team and to get the required results.
LvG was able to try and implement his philosophy his way, and I am sure the next manager will have the same freedom.
But as you tar us all as the anti Jose brigade, I suppose it's only fair to say you are one of the Jose in brigade and therefore cannot see any potential problems.
I'm not talking about telling him how to manage. I'm talking about the club making clear its requirements at interview stage. Will he get the job unless he agrees to use youth products? Surely not if youth is the priority? ( as some has stated)
Fans may have stated it, but who knows what the interview board will say. Guess we will know soon enough. But telling him he has to play youth is tying one hand behind his back. I don't think he would accept those conditions,or any other manager worth his salt.
It's a lot of the fans who like the young players and want to keep them. Doesn't mean to say the board listen too much to the fans.
I have considered Jose's flaws but feel he is the best man available to gets us back competing. I'd have preferred Pep, Ancelotti maybe even Pochettino given His achievements at Saints and Spurs but that hasn't / won't happen this Summer.

Managers are given objectives / remits all the time and personally IF Jose gets then will be instructed to use youth proclducts just as he will be instructed to provide entertaining but effective football.
