Rather have Jose as manager than nearly every single manger alive.

Fergie
Pep (debateable)
Jose.

Carlo, klopp n Conte all close behind.

How long does it take to rebuild s squad? Your team wad shambles after moyes. Lvg got you back in cl in first season. Probably fa cup in second. 3rd year who knows. It's not that facking bleek

43 goals in 35 games is very bleak.

Hope lvg wins us the cup and ends his very good managerial career on a high. He's not the man to land num 21 though.

Ask yourself this question......who do you think has best chance of 21st title. Lvg (in his last year) or Jose during a 3 year contract?

We pass on him this time and that's that for me. Its a no brainer. Jose for next 3 seasons, maybe more, makes more sense than anyone else around.

posted on 1/5/16

It's not a 'no brainer' at all He may well be successful but he doesn't come with a guarantee. There are a whole raft of managers out there some currently successful, some the next Pep/Jose if they get the chance.
I think he would probably be successful, but not everyone will enjoy the ride.

Pelligrini doing his best to win champs league and leave Guardiola with a team in Europa. Love it!

Rubbish. Football fans ALWAYS enjoy success, however it comes.

And his teams are nowhere near as boring as people make out. We've scored 45 goals in 35 PL games this season. Apparently OT has seen the least number of goals in the 5 main leagues in Europe.

He is tactical in big games. It's not a crime. He knows the importance of them and that's why he's a serial winner.

The outcome of Wednesday in Madrid is the game that has the potential to decide the arsenal game. 0-0 at full time with extra time to tire the city players more with Madrid to win in extra time to knock the players psychologically.

United winning three games in a row is the tricky bit.

No some people do want to see entertaining football. Just because Van Gaal's football is worse than Mourinho's doesn't mean Mourinho's will be enjoyable.

Fergie's was enjoyable in comparison in his last few years but many people didn't enjoy it because it was crap to watch.

posted on 1/5/16

It's not rubbish at all. You believe fans don't want to be entertained?
Both entertainment without success, and success without entertainment are second rate.
Nobody is saying OT is exciting, they are saying they want it to be.
Also Jose comes with a manner not everyone, players and staff, like.
You talk as if he is the only solution get him or we are finished.

This season could and should have been so much better if the manager had played players in their correct positions more and been a bit more adventurous in games

Maybe Jose would address those two issues

posted on 1/5/16

Jose's had 5 full season in England and his teams in all those seasons have been a lot more exciting than we've been for the last 3 years. A LOT LOT LOT more.

Something went wrong this year for him at Chelsea but he's won 16 major trophies in last 12 years. He really is the special one. That's an incredible record to have.

I think he's always wanted the utd job and he'd make us a scary proposition given a few transfer windows. Thats my view anyway.

Ask Chelsea fans if they were bored last season seeing Hazard, Costa, Oscar and Fabregas cause havoc. I dont think i heard many complaints,

Yes, maybe he would, and maybe someone else would too.

anyone in mind?

genuinely interested to hear other names other than Jose who could rise to the challenge

They were after December. Plus they seem to like his shiiiiit football anyway because it's effective. United fans expect different.

Look he's an unreal manager but that doesn't mean he's everyone's cup of tea.

Most redeeming feature about him become United manager is Zlatan becoming a real possibility.

who are available^^^

posted on 1/5/16

Nobody can name anyone more qualified. That's the issue. Well there is one who is available but he's retired now.

posted on 1/5/16

Nobody is denying his record, or that his football has been better than we have been watching.
But that doesn't mean it is the best to watch, because it isn't.
Poch and Kopp I believe will produce success for their clubs and be good to watch. Blanc has already done it.
Kopp successor is doing well, but I don't know if they are good to watch.

posted on 1/5/16

That is the funny thing. All the people who seem to think Jose has issues don't ever put forward a suitable candidate.

Some say Blanc but he's not in Joses league and besides, it's been confirmed this week that he's staying at PSG

No manager is a guarantee of anything. No manager comes without negatives. They all have them, even Pep. Guardiola's being that he's already planning his departure speech from City after 2 n half years around Xmas time.

Jose ticks most boxes and you have to take rough with smooth. Klopp, Pep, Simeone, Poch,Conte all have strengths and all have weaknesses.

Jose has 1 thing (or should that be 3) on all of the above though.....he knows how to win the PL. He's bought the t-shirt.
