United winning three games in a row is the tricky bit.

we did just win 7 in a row before today

When I asked mudd to list realistic alternatives he came up with Bielsa who is clearly talented but also hugely unproven in the PL and has history of falling out with his teams and Prandelli who has never won anything of note and who failed at his last job with Galatasaray.

It seems hard for people to accept but there really aren't not realistic alternatives that compare to Jose.

Nobody is more qualified, doesn't mean he's a manager that people are gonna be happy with.

I'd rather a manager with less qualifications and better football and less cuuuuuntish behaviour, but whether that's gonna happen or not remains to be seen.

We'll see what happens. I think Mourinho would win trophies at United so there's always that plus with him taking over. But I'm not all about trophies. I want to be entertained by Man United again.

We lost against Spurs a couple weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I read that under LVG we haven't won more than 4 games in a row.

Robb, how do you know Blanc is not in his league?
He won the title with his only two clubs.
Nobody thought Jose was in Fergies league a decade ago but it turns out he was.

Jose can entertain us. I think he'll thrive at united with there being a new start for him and someone in the boardroom to impress

Who's going to entertain us, if not Jose?

Winning the title with PSG isn't much of an achievement. The Bordeaux one was good but before PSG were any good.

He might be a good manager but he's shown nothing like what Jose did at Porto

Ahh yea... Been the pub

We are in decent form though... We can win those 3 games

We can, I don't think we will though. I can see us lose at West Ham.

Decentish form. But we're vulnerable to the type of centre forward Norwich and West Ham have. Away from home we're not great and we need to break the habit of a season and win two away in a row

I'd like Blanc, I think he has the right attitude to football and he's not a caaaant.

Yeah he's not as good as Mourinho but I'd prefer him.

To be honest, though, I don't really know what the board attitude towards management is anymore. They went with Moyes who plays shiiiiit football and didn't have the credentials anyway, so nobody can say what they're looking for. That's all that actually matters not what we think, we have no control over that.

But isn't Blanc highly unlikely this summer. He signed a contract only a few weeks ago.

I doubt anyone will be less than excited if Jose gets the gig. I will certainly be backing him and shouting the team on. Just because he isn't my first choice doesn't mean I won't be hoping for the best.

I dunno, wouldn't surprise me if PSG wanted Mourinho.

Couldn't see him wanting them, he must be bored now being out of work, imagine managing in Ligue1

PSG confirmed this week that Blanc will be there next season

posted on 1/5/16

Maybe if he can't get the United job. Hasn't he been pretty public over his desire to stay in England.

If he did end up at PSG I'm sure he'd do a better job than Blanc.

posted on 1/5/16

I could see him managing there, Mourinho picks jobs with a high chance of success, PSG is one of those clubs.

I think he'd prefer the United job, but if we didn't offer him it and PSG came in for him I don't see him turning it down.

If Jose didn't get the Unted job it would be interesting to see him at Everton. They have the money now and some good players and he could rebuild a bit of his rep there.

Guess a lot depends on whether PSG feel Blanc can get them further in Europe where he has so far failed. But I can't see them going for Jose this summer, more likely in the future if he's available.

What money do Everton have? Isn't Kenwright still trying to sell to make them more competitive?

Mourinho won't go to Everton.

I guess we'll see. Mourinho has obviously proven more in Europe than Blanc and I get the impression that's what they care about most.
