They are a stripey, higher up the country version of us and I ain't taking the mick, I like sides like Newcastle. As for Europe, I live in a town overrun by Europeans, plenty of em at work, about half of the work force and plenty not from work in the court register causing damage, harm and posing a threat to home nationals. Any more in England and this island would sink. Its principle not personal.
OUT!
Pull up the drawbridge and starting re-patriating the un-desirables and the foreign law breakers and a return to the times when treasonable offences were punitively punished. There'll be a queue at every job centre for a hangmans job. Glad to have got that lot off my chest on a Saturday morning, but you did ask!

Anyone who says we should stay in, is saying this great country isn't great.
Geographically we are in Europe
But we don't know think like then in any shape or form.
And am not against immigration, we need it and have benifit from it.
But you can't have open boarders, where we have thieving raping people moving around into this country
In.....it's good for trade & industry, cheaper movement of workforce, but I think there should be some control of immigration, we won't sink but there needs to be at least fundamentals in place...ie language, I don't think the Yanks are our best buddies, they just like playing big brother....a united Europe would have something to say about that...
100% OUT!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm British not European, we can trade better outwith the EU, grow what we need ,not what they tell us to, fish our own waters , not let every other country take a greater quota than us And Stop Paying silly money to the beaurocrats in Brussels to waste on stupid projects in Europe when we need to spend it in our own country Oh aye, and shut the bloody door, we're Full
HW.....how can we trade better ?, what if nobody wants to trade with us or can get goods cheaper in say germany than here ?
and why can't we take silly money from brussels to fund projects here ?......just because merkel or hollande say 'non'......politicians rarely look after people like you & me...... more like whats in it for moi ?......imo
At the moment we can't trade freely with anyone Harj, Brussels tell us who we can do deals with, If we left we would be our own boss and be a part of the World Trade Organisation, with the freedom to do deals that would benefit Britain. (not Europe)
This is worth reading Harj................

i get that HW, but what have we got to trade with ?.....our manufacturing industry virtually non existent, we have various foreign companies who have set up here especially from mainland europe, who could theoretically say bye bye then what ?
harj
Do you think if we wasn't in, and the vote was whether we should join, that we would be voted in
Not a bloody chance and it would be a massive landslide
HW.....that is an interesting read....LIW thats where the real referendum should've been.......

It's not black and white, but on balance I think we're better off in. The economic argument just about swings it.
I won't feel less British. It won't make me feel less proud. We won't sink. I don't think human rights are a bad thing (although they can be interpreted/implemented badly).
And I won't kowtow to Gove and Johnson's agenda. They aren't doing this for principle, they're doing this for power. Happy to risk all our futures for personal gain.
EU net spend? About 8.5b. The economic benefits of membership far outweigh this IMO. There'll still be a price to pay for agreeing independent trade deals and we won't be in a position if power.
Importing rapists? We've also exported a fair few paedophiles to the costas. Better information sharing from inside the EU could be the answer.
There are negatives, I won't deny that. But I'm voting in.

The big problem for me is there not long to go and there not enough information out there
And I've changed my mind twice already
We need facts and proper debating
Out for me. The EU is a bloated, money wasting club that we would be far better off having never joined.
Just an out edging to out.
I think there are pros and cons for both arguments.
But I feel at a time when we have our own people (I mean English people of any colour) barely able to live...needing good banks.
Hospitals and schools completely over subscribed...
We are so busy focusing on business and economical matters we are not liking after our bread and butter.
Swing in the Turks and Albanians and it's just never going to stop
Immigration works but like everything else...In a controlled way.
'having never joined'......3 key words, but people were looking after their own pockets....
I happened to stumble on a documentary this morning when reading the papers online. It's only been uploaded onto You Tube within the last couple of days.
It should be shown on mainstream TV but I don't it ever will be which is a massive crime.
The title on YouTube is "Brexit - The Movie" and I found it to be absolutely mind-blowing. Everyone should see this as I reckon it could make a lot of people's minds up on which way to vote - very compelling arguments for getting out.
It's an hour and eleven minutes long and it's worth taking the time and patience to watch from start to finish. Here's the link: -

Problem is there is no real facts. One group turn around and hammer stars based on future estimates. Then the opposition so the same.
For example if he leave Europe we save 150m a day I think. What does that do right now for our economy.
However leading figures may argue we make that money back on trade agreements. Maybe we do but that helps big business. Does that help the average Joe or just rich shareholders?
It's hard to know who to believe because the IMF etc all have reasons to side with one over another.
elland white.....just seen some of that vid, i'll see the rest later but certainly interesting....
Ask schools what is happening to their class numbers? Ask small traders what is happening to their chances of getting a decent rate for trade jobs?
Remember Europe is a collection of many countries with many different social norms. So by allowing open borders, you are bringing in vastly varing demographics, into a small area.
Also whilst i love Germans, Merkel et al are making decisions which will cripple Europe and cause it to implode.

When people talk about immigration, I think they forgot about 1.2 million Brits who live in other EU countries. We can't complain about immigrants not working and not integrating when they 300,000 English pensioners living in Spain who can barely string a sentence together in Spanish.
Better for industry, better for workers rights. You have to think what reasoning people like Boris Johnson, or Michael Gove, or the owner of Wetherspoons have for leaving EU - it's because most of workers right laws are European.
Also, people worrying about borders - I'd like to see how France dealt with Calais if we weren't in the EU. It would very soon become our problem.
Interesting comments from both sides of the equation and great to see sensible debate without the mudslinging.
I'm voting "out". I recognise some of the benefits but for me it's more about being totally in control of our economy, our laws and freedom to choose our trading partners.
I do find it slightly ironic that those trying to convince us to stay in have, for the most part, spent much time trying to loosen the grip that Brussels has on all things UK.
The concept of the EU is a good one if all adopted the same currency, all toed the line and allowed for true equality amongst all members. The reality is that two states control the Union and therein lies the problem.
