Just watched the shoot out, much as zaza looks a bell on his run up that wasn't even the worst penalty, Muller and Pelle have that honour.
Shame, wanted Italy to win.
Pelle git too involved in mind games...We had a cushion we had a great opportunity to finish them
Penalties tell you a lot about the ego of the taker.
Some think they are the hero before doing anything, like the bells who chip one down the middle.
It's simple, hard and low, left or right and you won't miss unless the keeper pulls off a worldie save.
Italy were silly with their pens. The keeper was prepared for the shots low into the corner and the ones directed that way either went wide or he saved. But every pen played down the centre went in and they should have stuck to that
Never is just a great keeper, he seemed to be reading the Italians very well.
Insigne took the best one for them and sent neuer the wrong way
Either way, hit the feckin ball, it will move faster than the keeper even if he guesses right and then it takes a great save.

the golie is going to dive low so if he guesses the right way you're in trouble
place them top left or right
Top works as well.
Germans beat Buffon a couple of times with hard and low/lowish.

Just don't head them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly, you wouldn't score that way. Save that for headball.
There could be a solution. If headed goals don't count as"proper" goals, you could count them as half a goal. Still enough to win a match, but not given the importance of tap-ins and volleys.
Top corner sure-footed with controlled pace. If a man on £10m a year cannot do that then stick him down the mines.

Good idea, but surely a headed goal such as Sam Vokes's wonderful leaping nut job, was worthy of more than a measly 'half goal' ........yes ?
Seems a little complicated though given headed goals do count, without them you would have far less upsets in football and that wouldn't be much fun, it's a game for everyone, even talentless lumps like fellaini or Berra.
Spent some the in Atalanta GA a few years ago, they love road kill <car>
I know a few gypsy elders in the UK who swear by it.
Not sure I have been served any though wouldn't rule it out.
Hmmm, 4-0 at half time, interesting, it appears Iceland are as crap as I suspected after all.
5-2 FT so not as crap but still ........crap
Just mark it down as another euro dud.
Still, 3 games to go, Wales v portugal, two huff and puff sides battling it out to see who can deliver the most crosses into the box in the hope of nicking a header.
France v germany at least will showcase some of the world's finest players battling it out.
Alas we will have to watch a final with either Germany or France dominating the game trying to open up an ultra negative Wales or Portugal.
Did you actually watch the Wales v Belgium match? Hardly ultra-negative, Wales won on merit, the better side.
Oh, by the way, I have lived here for over 2 years now, so I'm wearing my leek with pride
very strong rumour tonight that dave edwards' part in taking wales to a major international semi final is the catalyst to robin li's signing of wolves. apparently the Chinese billionaire has been so impressed by the fact that wolves' mercurial midfielder has gone one stage further than Italy (and two further than England), that he insisted on an immediate purchase of our club, ahead of even the milan deal.
