La Liga isn't a one horse race league.

I said 'essentially'... until Mourinho took over RM they hadn't won the league since 07-08

If roles were reversed, and Mourinho had managed Barca for recent years and Bayern, I do think they would have seen similar success in terms of trophy count, probably in a less stylish manner.
I honestly don't know how Pep would have fared at Porto and if he could've won the CL with them, or how he would've done at Chelsea breaking Uniteds dominance under SAF. Could he have won the treble with that Inter Milan side?
We will be able to make more comparisons in another 3 years time now they are both in the PL, at new teams, both have big budgets and both underachieved this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Given Peps history with bringing young players into the first team squad, didn't Porto have quite a few young players at the time, I'd say he could have emulated what Jose did there.
Re challenging United's dominance with Chelsea. He brings stability to the teams, and clubs, he manages. I'd say had he gone to Chelsea he would've stayed longer than Jose did and built a squad that could challenge that dominance.
I reckon he's miles better than Jose.
Jose can almost guarantee you titles, for as long as you give him an open cheque book. That's why he's gone to Man Utd. Anyways It'll be interesting to see how he does there.
My List
1. Guardiola (just to wind up l dude)
2. Ranieri (he did take Leicester to the title after all)
3. Klopp (because the Spuԁs need something to be outraged about)
4. Poccettino (because he bottled his chance of winning the title)
5. Conte
6. Koeman
7. Bilic
8. Wenger (because he does JUST ENOUGH every year)
...
20. Mourinho (because he had the champions facing relegation and because the OP is l dude)
I forgot to correct the OP spelling of Pooch's name
Wahl dude you bought your United top yet?
Pep has only ever managed ready made teams and please don't try convincing me he's the champion of youth!

Barca were never a ready made team when he took over. I'm not saying he's the 'champion of youth'. It's just one thing, along with style of play, he's better at IMO.
Could Pep win the league with Leicester's squad?
bit of a silly article - some of the teams haven't got a manager yet

Not the Ops fault some teams can't attract anyone of note to manage their club.
Pep's style of play isn't to my liking but he'd probably still have to be number one on the list. As someone pointed out, he doesn't get great results away from home in Europe and his teams do struggle to get goals when it really matters at times, due to his very strictly regimented style of play. But no manager is infallible.
I would probably have had Jose at number one before last season, as I do think his accomplishments have been greater with the players at his disposal, but last season did happen and Pep has never had a season like that.

He took over Frank Rijkards team who were pretty much considered one of the best teams in the world, if not the best!

Ronald Koeman not anyone of any note shocker, same for Emery and De Boer
The very best managers, (despite what some people will tell you) tend to have a haul of silverware to their name, how many in these list do?

Why would Koeman take the step down from Southampton to Everton? Also Emery can get a bigger gig than Everton and De Boer is unproven.

I like Everton but it's just silly talking about managers like Koeman leaving soton for you. Eddie Howe would be a good choice

I actually do a few of my family are Evertonians, Jose didn't have a club and has just got his dream job I don't see how he's taken a step down.
he left the champions for a team that can't get into the top 4, I'm using your own silly logic on you here Giggs
leaving Southampton for Everton is a significant step up anyway you want to look at it
